I firmly believe Tulsi Gabbard should have never been nominated as Director of National Intelligence, and I have been sounding the alarm about her troubling relationships with foreign adversaries.
The Trump administration told Congress it won’t share with lawmakers the classified intelligence that led to a whistleblower complaint against U.S. spy chief Tulsi Gabbard, citing presidential claims of executive privilege. 🔗 on.wsj.com/40tVP49
Federal immigration agents are out of control. We need to reign them in.   I'm joining @robinkelly.house.gov to impeach Kristi Noem for kidnapping, abusing, and leaving people for dead. I hope more of our colleagues join us.
A blind father of two has died after Border Patrol agents took him into custody and released him alone, miles away from home. A homicide investigation has been opened.
Thank you to everyone who joined Indivisible Barrington and me for a #townhall before the State of the Union last night! Always great to hear from constituents. To watch the replay of our meeting, click here. www.youtube.com/live/PMosFIy...
“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.” —1984 Trump claims the State of the Union is strong, but Americans are being kidnapped by ICE and struggling to afford basic necessities.
In Trump’s first term, he foolishly withdrew from the deal that was keeping Iran’s nuclear program in check. Now, Trump claims to be negotiating a new deal while ordering the largest military build up since the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Trump’s recklessness is endangering our service members.
Instead of addressing violence & crime, Trump has closed the Office of Gun Violence Prevention, cut $300M for community violence interruption, and legalized the sale of devices that turn semi-automatic weapons into machine guns. He has chosen the gun lobby over American families. #StateoftheUnion
Donald Trump is lying to you. He isn’t going after the worst of the worst. He is NOT protecting Americans. He’s detaining children, teachers, and the fathers of dying teenagers — and killing American citizens. #DismantleICE
To my surprise, I agree with President Trump. Politicians should not be able to trade stocks and profit while in office. So is he going to return the $2.25 billion he’s made off of his presidency? #StateoftheUnion
If Trump wanted to support affordable health care, he would have rallied Republicans to join Democrats in extending the Affordable Care Act subsidies. Instead, this public-private partnership expired and 22 million Americans saw their healthcare costs spike last month. #StateoftheUnion
Trump’s choice to double down on his failed tariffs, when the Supreme Court just confirmed he cannot unilaterally impose them, shows he’s unfit for the office. He’s out of touch with American consumers and American businesses. #StateoftheUnion
Local news has a long and storied history, regularly breaking huge news stories that would have been overlooked by national outlets. We need their reporting now more than ever. Join me in saying farewell and good luck to these veteran reporters, and in supporting local news in whatever way you can.
Trump continues to divide Americans, even our gold medal-winning Olympians. His mockery of the U.S. Women’s Hockey Team (who also won gold against Canada earlier last week) is unacceptable. This is not what Team USA, America, or leadership is about.
In the past year, Trump has spent more time groveling to Putin rather than advocating for the Ukrainian people. I’m standing strong as a Co-Chair of the Ukraine Caucus in supporting Ukrainian freedom and democracy everywhere.
Four years ago today, Russia launched an illegal, full-scale invasion of Ukraine—beginning the longest and deadliest war in Europe since WWII.
