NOW LIVE at Center on Halsted, taking questions about Trump's discriminatory, anti-LGBTQ policies.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Y8W...
I'm at Center on Halsted this morning answering questions about Trump's attacks on the LGBTQ+ community. Nora Huppert from @lambdalegal.org and I will discuss litigation against the administration and how we can all help protect our neighbors.

From passing gun violence legislation to clean energy reform, President Biden accomplished great things while in office. But after seeing him later in his term, I had to stand up and say something.
Trump is targeting institutions of higher learning to crush dissent. This is what authoritarian regimes do.
Yesterday, I demanded RFK Jr. stop vilifying and threatening the autistic community. Mr. Secretary, calling Americans on the spectrum "a threat to our way of life" and stealing their private medical data will not improve our understanding of ASD.
I'm horrified by the news of two Israeli Embassy aides, Sarah Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky, who were killed last night in DC. Antisemitism and hate have no place in our communities, and I send my condolences to their families. We must continue to fight the growing threat of antisemitism together.
Today is #HarveyMilkDay. As the first openly-gay elected official in California, Harvey Milk and his legacy will not be forgotten.
I'm proud to keep working towards a more equal future with the @equality.house.gov 🏳️🌈
Thank you to everyone who joined my Town Hall on Tuesday!
Early this morning, I cast my vote to oppose Republicans' harmful budget. Unfortunately, they ignored the needs of millions of Americans and passed the bill. I'm going to keep fighting—the only way out is through.
Catch our replay below.
I am saddened to hear of the passing of Representative Gerry Connolly. Gerry never tired of fighting for the American people. We have lost a true public servant, and my thoughts are with his family, friends, and staff in this difficult time.
Trump's U.S. Attorney for NJ has charged @replamonica.bsky.social with assault after she and other elected officials tried entering to enter a detention facility this month.
This is just more political targeting from the Trump Admin—the same people who refused to support police on J6.
I'm now LIVE on YouTube for my virtual Trump Budget Town Hall. Tune in here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSJl...
I recently talked with a constituent who lost their job because of Trump's illegal cuts to the NEA. The NEA supports everything from veterans' mental health to children's education across the country.
Today, I signed a letter telling Trump to follow the law and restore this funding immediately.
We're just a few hours away from my Trump Budget Town Hall. Not registered? No problem! You can join us at the YouTube link below.

During his time in office, President Biden expedited cancer research funding, supporting over 250 projects. His dedication speaks for itself—I wish him all the best as he begins fighting this battle. (2/2)
I’m saddened to hear that President Biden has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. My thoughts are with him and his family. (1/2)
Vaishu was also a Director for the Health Team at Waxman Strategies. She earned a M.S. from Georgetown University School of Medicine and a B.S. from UNC Charlotte. (3/3)
As the Deputy Director of Policy Programs, Vaishu helps Protect Our Care expand healthcare access, lower drug costs, and reduce disparities. She previously served as Domestic Policy Coordinator at the Office of the Vice President, focusing on the maternal mortality crisis. (2/3)
