Trump is trying to put boots on the ground in his reckless war with Iran. So far, 17 soldiers have been killed, 200 more have been injured, and $30 billion in taxpayer money has been spent.   There is no end in sight. We must pull all troops out of Iran immediately.
The Pentagon is preparing for weeks of ground operations in Iran, U.S. officials said. It would fall short of a full-scale invasion and could involve raids by a mixture of Special Operations forces and conventional infantry troops, said the officials.
They’re cutting your healthcare to pay for their war. Again.

Americans want affordable healthcare—not another war in the Middle East.
NEW: Republicans are considering reductions in federal health spending to help pay for a budget bill containing as much as $200 billion to fund the Iran war and immigration enforcement.
Deploying the National Guard to stand around in DC wasn't enough—Trump wants to undercut DC's ability to keep guns off the streets. As a representative of another major city, I'm urging my colleagues to vote NO on the so-called Make the District Safe and Beautiful Act.
Due to a death in the family, I was unable to participate in last night’s votes. I continue to call on House Republicans to accept proposals to end airport chaos.
We are ONE WEEK AWAY from the end of the 2026 Congressional Art Competition! If you're a young artist living in my district, submit your piece before 5 pm Central next Friday, April 3🎨 🏆️ Past winners include Kalyani's 'Child's Play' (2025) and Polina's 'Best Buddies Down on the Farm' (2026)!
To this day, Trump has spent over $28 BILLION to go to war with Iran. The extended healthcare subsidies my fellow @housedemocrats.bsky.social fought for in December would have only cost $30 billion. They stole your healthcare to pay for three weeks of a useless war.
This 'visit' opened the doors to a massive security threat to the Speaker, to our Congress, and to democracy itself. All while Trump funds the Russian war machine by removing sanctions on their oil this week. This is another extension of the administration’s moral equivalency of Russia & Ukraine.
Let's be clear: Russia illegally invaded Ukraine in 2022. Military aid and sanctions by the United States and our allies have been the ONE thing standing in Putin’s way of rebuilding the Soviet Union. Foreign political operatives of our adversaries should NEVER be allowed on Capitol Hill.
I just heard that my Republican colleagues met with members of the Russian Duma, with Rep. Luna giving them a private tour of our Capitol yesterday—including Speaker Johnson's offices!
These workers—including at O'Hare—refuse to let TSA workers "be used as pawns in this dangerous game." I agree—and I hope my colleagues agree to fund every part of DHS except Trump's extreme deportation operation.
Flight attendants, airport mechanics, and other aerospace workers don't want ICE at our airports either. A recent joint statement from aerospace worker unions noted how DHS has billions of dollars to pay TSA, but instead the president has once again chosen to use ICE as a cudgel.
Happy Opening Day⚾️ I'm on the House Floor voting right now but I wish I could be with everyone at Wrigley. Go, @cubsbot.bsky.social, go!
- Medicaid❤️‍🩹 for an additional 1.3 million Americans, - Food stamps/SNAP🍎 for another 5.5 million Americans, - Housing🏠️ for additional 1 million Americans, and - Preschool🚌 for over 900,000 kids. As of today, he’s now spent $28 billion. This spending spree has to stop.
Today is #EqualPayDay! On average, women had to work all of 2025 and every day of 2026 till today, just to make the same amount men did in 2025. The fight for equal pay is far from over. I'm proud to support my colleagues in the @demwomencaucus.bsky.social in the fight for fair wages.
My colleagues and I on the Food Safety Caucus are calling for the FDA to force a recall on Raw Farm cheese immediately. No one should get sick from their food.
