I toured Dartmouth Middle School in #HemetCA and learned what it was like to be a principal for a day! It was wonderful to speak with school administrators, teachers, and students about their projects, assignments, and improvements.
I’m hosting three town halls across our region! I’ll be sharing what I’ve been working on in Congress, answering your questions, and listening to what matters to you.
🔗 Space is limited, please secure your spot by visiting ruiz.house.gov/townhall.
One of the best parts of serving in Congress is connecting with the bright young minds shaping our future.
Thank you, #SDSU Imperial Valley students, for sharing your ambitions and dreams with me. I can’t wait to see the impact you’ll make!
I’m a hell NO on the Republican budget framework.
Why? Because it guts federal support for:
❌ Head Start
❌ After-school programs
❌ SNAP
❌ Medicaid
All to hand $5 TRILLION in tax breaks to billionaires. Unacceptable. I voted NO.
I want to know: with over 640 measles cases and 3 deaths, why did they cut billions in vaccination outreach grant funding and why is HHS cutting the very staff who research, protect, and deliver vaccines in our communities? This conversation is long overdue.
This morning, I went to the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services to demand that Secretary RFK Jr. meet with @energycommerce.bsky.social Democrats and answer to the American people.
Dr. Eric Schmidt from the Special Competitive Studies Project has warned about the risks of forming intimate, emotional bonds with AI. Yet, we still have no real privacy protections in place for our kids.
We can’t afford to wait. It’s time to pass real, enforceable laws that put kids’ safety first.
An AI-powered teddy bear that learns and evolves with your child? That’s not sci-fi anymore, it’s our near future.
📣 ICYMI: HIV prevention saves lives. The Trump administration’s proposed cuts will cost them. DAP Health fights HIV through testing, counseling, and prevention medication, all programs our communities rely on.

With the threat of federal funding cuts to food, housing, health care, and childcare, families are more worried than ever. I’m committed to fighting for the resources and programs you, your families, and our communities need to thrive.
I met with women leaders across #CA25, from Hemet, Banning, and Beaumont to the Coachella Valley and Imperial Valley, and heard their deep concerns about rising costs and the challenges they face in today’s economy.
I joined the 15th annual FIND Food Bank Telethon to support their mission of providing nutritious food to individuals and families facing food insecurity. Together, we’re fighting hunger & helping expand their capacity to serve more people across the Coachella Valley.

One of my priorities is expanding economic opportunities in our region. That’s why I met with leaders from #InlandAction, a group of our Inland Empire who are working together to find solutions for our region in health care, the economy, the environment, and the Salton Sea.
It’s a problem that childcare costs are reaching up to $2,000 a month for some families. More must be done to make essentials, like childcare more affordable. We’re not backing down. We will keep fighting to lower costs and put our communities first.

I just had an amazing roundtable with women leaders to discuss the rising costs of childcare and health care. Mothers from across our region shared the tough choices they face between paying for a babysitter or putting food on the table.
It was a full house at the Coachella Senior Center, where 100+ seniors joined me for a listening session. As a kid from Coachella, it was meaningful to see familiar faces from my childhood come together to share their concerns about difficulty accessing Social Security, Medi-Cal, & VA benefits.
Now is our time.
It is our time to defend democracy.
I will continue to fight for and with each one of you!
This is just the beginning.
#handsoff
I had the pleasure of meeting with the Imperial Valley Housing Authority to discuss their remarkable progress in public housing that serve over 3,000 families across the #ImperialValley.
I’m committed to advocate for and support affordable housing initiatives in our communities!
They gave it to me straight and handed me a letter stating that some hospitals in my district may be forced to close.
Cutting Medi-Cal hurts everyone’s access to health care!
