These cuts will hurt them and will hurt many others—including people who don't get their health care through Medicaid.
Republicans passed a budget that calls for $880 billion in spending cuts from the E&C committee, the vast majority of which will come from Medicaid.
Texas is the only state still unable to access federal funding for refugee services, leaving thousands of refugees in #TX07 and across Texas without vital support. I joined @repcasar.bsky.social, @repjuliejohnson.bsky.social, & TX Democratic colleagues in demanding the immediate release of funding.
On Saturday, with thanks to the Houston Passport Agency, Team #TX07 was able to help more than 200 of our neighbors with their passports!

Elon Musk's conflicts of interest are many and dangerous. We must exercise our oversight and protect the American people.
During our O&I hearing last week attacking the Biden DOE, we heard testimony that the the loan program office needed better controls for potential conflicts of interest the very day after our Republican colleagues refused to add oversight of DOGE to our committee plan.
Rather than fighting the bullies, they were the bullies.
