Trump knows he’s losing Americans. So he’s setting the stage to keep control. That’s why he stashed $175B in his ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ to turn ICE & CBP into a police force. I introduced a bill to redirect the $175B into a housing boom. We’re choosing homes over hate & democracy over dictatorship.
Who in their right mind thinks 1.1 million job cuts in a year is ANYTHING but a complete failure. Working families across the country are struggling to survive in Trump's economy, we need leaders that are working to make life affordable, not alseep behind the wheel.
Trump's approval rating is plummeting as Americans are furious over his mishandling of the economy. MAGA is finally recognizing the con that they've been sold, and it's about damn time.
Frank Gehry changed architecture forever, and here in our district, work like the Walt Disney Concert Hall is proof. A masterpiece in the heart of Los Angeles. The imprint he made on LA and the world will last long after he’s gone. May his memory be a blessing to his friends and family.
Breaking News: Frank Gehry, a titan of architecture, has died at 96. He designed some of the world’s most recognizable buildings — many widely regarded as masterpieces. nyti.ms/4rGCYiE
If Trump or the Supreme Court need help with the Constitution, happy to read it aloud: “ALL persons born or naturalized in the United States… are citizens of the United States...” There. Case closed.
BREAKING: The Supreme Court will decide whether President Trump's birthright citizenship order violates the Constitution.
Decades of science proves the hepatitis B vaccine is safe and effective for newborns. RFK Jr.’s anti-vaccine crusade is putting our children at risk and dragging us backwards.
BREAKING: Vaccine panel appointed by RFK Jr. votes to roll back newborn hepatitis B vaccine recommendations, upending years of CDC guidance and public health consensus.
Trump could end the housing crisis, but he spent $175B of our money to turn ICE & CBP into his national police force that terrorizes our communities. I introduced a bill to reinvest Trump's unaccountable slush fund into a new housing affordability boom. www.newsweek.com/exclusive-de...
Today, Donald Trump declared affordability a “Democrat scam.” That’s rich coming from a billionaire who’s never had to shop for groceries a day in his life. This president needs a serious reality check because it’s HIS economy that’s destroying working families. Affordability isn’t a scam, Trump is.
As a dad, I can’t stop thinking about the parents in Stockton grieving because their child became the next victim of gun violence. We owe these families more than thoughts and prayers, we owe them change. If Republicans refuse to act on gun reform, they’re complicit every time.
At least 4 people were killed during a Nov. 29 shooting at a child's birthday party in Stockton, California, police say.
One father, a U.S. citizen, walked into a green-card interview with his wife & 4-month-old baby. He walked out with the baby in his arms…& his wife in ICE custody. No criminal record, just families being separated. Trump said he would only go after violent criminals, he lied.
In Trump’s America, you are guilty until proven innocent if you’re Latino, if you’re brown, if you don’t speak English in the exact way Trump or his deportation police expect you to.
“You’re a stupid person” - That’s Trump’s response when a reporter reminds him: his own admin vetted the DC shooter in April & granted him asylum so he could stay in the country. He knows he can’t spin the truth, so he lashes out, lies, & attacks a woman reporter instead of taking responsibility.
The shooting of these National Guard members is absolutely heartbreaking. I’m thinking about their families tonight and the pain no one should ever have to endure. Violence like this has no place in our country, and those responsible for this tragedy must be brought to justice.
Two National Guard members are shot near the White House, DHS says. At least one suspect is in custody and the scene is secure, D.C. police say.
