In the last month, this Administration and Republicans in Congress have made life more expensive and dangerous.
They are trying to distract the American people from their plans to put them out of work, increase their taxes, and cut programs like SNAP and Medicaid.
The Republican majority is pushing forward a budget plan that would hurt families and devastate their pocketbooks.
In our district, 55,433 people on Medicaid are at risk of losing their health care under this plan.
House Democrats are fighting these attacks.
Americans trust the United States Postal Service with their most important cargo: prescriptions, documents, and gifts for long-distance loved ones.
If the Administration wants to fix mail delays, it must keep the USPS independent and transparent. www.fox5atlanta.com/news/united-...
I’m a former flight attendant. I know how crucial FAA staff are for passenger safety.
The White House’s cuts to the FAA are making Americans less safe as they fly.
It’s dangerous to make reckless cuts in a time like this.

I am honored to represent Georgia each day because of its rich history of changemakers. These remarkable strides forward would not have been possible without selfless leaders like my friend and inspiration, the late John Lewis.
Happy Heavenly Birthday!

The proposed GOP plans target crucial programs for Georgia families.
HOPE scholarships have granted students the opportunity to attend college at a lower cost, and the proposed tax would stifle success and set our families back.
The Akers Mill Road Ramp in Cobb will improve highway access for thousands of highway commuters.
I'm proud to bring federal dollars, like the $5 million for this ramp, to projects that improve our communities.

At a time of uncertainty and food insecurity, our families deserve to know they can afford meals during summer break.
The Governor is letting Georgia miss out on federal funding and refusing to feed and protect our children. This is cruel and indefensible.

The CDC is a vital part of our nation's preparedness and is the foundation of our ability to fight pandemics and develop treatments.
The Trump Administration's mass firings of dedicated public health workers in metro Atlanta and removal of tracking information threaten the health of our families.
This Sunday would be my son Jordan’s 30th birthday. We should be gathering to celebrate him.
However, I will carry his legacy with me everyday as I fight in Congress to end gun violence.
Jordan, I feel your presence ALWAYS. Happy 30th my love❤️
Seven years ago, a gunman in Florida murdered 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
As we continue to make progress on gun safety, we must never forget the names of those ripped away from us.
Join us to make the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention permanent under law! We need help to gather cosponsors so it can be brought up for a vote. 🧡
Federal summer meal programs fill in the gaps for families who may otherwise not have enough to go around, but our state is at risk of missing out again.
Last year, existing programs in Georgia didn't serve a third of our counties. The deadline for Governor Kemp to opt in is this weekend.
I was raised by parents who led in the NAACP. My father was president of the Illinois branch.
Today, I honor the founding of this organization, and its role in shaping the stories of millions of Americans.

Hard-working Americans deserve access to the skills they need to compete in the global workforce and succeed.
I am proud to be re-introducing the TRAIN Act with Representatives Takano, Thompson, Hayes, and Mannion to support our workers and their families.

Children in GA are at risk of being hungry without a summer meal program for all our counties.
The state missed another deadline to receive federal support to feed students this summer.
I'm leading the delegation in demanding why our families are being ignored.

Thank you to the thousands who participated in our Town Hall this evening! These events are a wonderful opportunity to connect with our community at a time when many have questions.

Republicans are proposing a new tax on HOPE scholarships.
I never got to send my Jordan off to college, but I thought about how we would pay for it up until the day he was killed. HOPE was something I knew we could rely on.
A new tax would undercut the financial stability of families in Georgia.
