Clean energy technologies are being developed right here in the Bay Area! Last week, @salinas.house.gov and I toured @berkeleylab.lbl.gov and Peak Energy to see how federal investments are driving the next generation of technologies that are helping power a greener, more sustainable future.
Happy #FathersDay to all the Dads in #CA15 and beyond! Being a dad is one of the most incredible blessings, and as a member of the Dads Caucus, I'm proud to advocate for family-friendly policies that help parents, children, and communities thrive nationwide.
161 years ago, news of the Emancipation Proclamation reached the last enslaved Black Americans in Galveston, Texas. This #Juneteenth, we honor the resilience of those who endured slavery and continue our work to advance equality and justice for all. Happy #Juneteenth!
For the first time since 1994, the #WorldCup is back in the Bay Area! We’re excited to welcome millions of fans from around the world to the experience Bay Area’s unique blend of cultures, communities and traditions.⚽️🏟️
Proud to join San Mateo County’s #pride festival in Central Park last week and gather with our community. It was great to see over 20 LGBTQI+ organizations and advocates come together in support and inclusion this #pridemonth🌈
The @sfchronicle.com’s @annkillion.bsky.social hit it out of the park 👏 Sad to see some of the @sfgiants.com players behave this way, especially during Pride month. This is not what San Francisco is about.

Today marks 14 years of DACA. After 14 years strengthening our communities and economies in CA and across the nation, Dreamers deserve permanent protections—not uncertainty.

I was so inspired to meet this year's Congressional Award recipients in DC. Their dedication to community service, personal development, and physical fitness are truly impressive!
Ever wondered what it’s like to play in the Congressional Baseball Game?⚾️
I was honored to participate in this great bipartisan event that raised a record-breaking $3.2 million for local charities in the Washington, DC area.
Voters deserve to know if what they're seeing on social media is a paid campaign ad.
That’s why I am a hard NO on Republicans bill to give a $70 billion blank check to ICE as it terrorizes communities and undermines our constitutional rights—all while it still has billions leftover from Trump’s big ugly bill that is stripping away health insurance from millions of Americans.
Americans want lower costs and safer communities—not more taxpayer dollars for ICE or a slush fund for violent felons who attacked our democracy on Jan. 6.

It's always impactful to hear directly from people about their health care experiences. Thanks to reps from @stanfordmedicine.bsky.social & the DeBoer family receiving care from @ucsfchildrens.bsky.social for meeting to discuss protecting children's heath care & critical federal health investments.
We can’t allow rollbacks of critical federal support for public health programs, that’s why @pelosi.house.gov & I are urging the CDC to report its funding for domestic HIV research and prevention programs, while reminding the agency it must follow appropriation levels approved by Congress.
Despite roughly 32,000 new HIV infections each year in the U.S. and treatment costs exceeding $1 million over a person’s lifetime, the Trump Administration has repeatedly targeted HIV research and treatment programs for cancellation and grant delays.
It’s been 45 years since HIV was discovered, and many across the world and here in the San Francisco Bay Area have lost loved ones.
I had a great time visiting @presidiosf.bsky.social and taking in the incredible views and history that make it such a special place. Thanks to CEO Jean Fraser for the behind-the-scenes look at one of the Bay Area’s true gems. If you haven’t been recently, it’s definitely worth a visit!
And this is why I'm working on new legislation to address the specific types of incidents highlighted here. The federal government needs to take a more active role in how this emerging tech is developed.

Autonomous vehicles have the potential to improve safety on our roads. But without a complete picture of the data - including incidents like unplanned stops or blocking emergency responders - we don't yet know.
That's why I've introduced the AV Safety Data Act.
