While families get hammered by skyrocketing gas prices, Big Oil is cashing in on the chaos. That’s why we need to pass @whitehouse.senate.gov and @khanna.house.gov’s Big Oil Windfall Profits Tax Act and stop oil executives from profiteering off people’s pain!
During #TeacherAppreciationWeek, we recognize Rhode Island teachers for inspiring curiosity, supporting students, and making a difference in classrooms across our state. Rhode Island is stronger because of you. Thank you for all you do for our kids and communities!
This Older Americans Month, I joined leaders and advocates working to ensure Rhode Islanders can age with dignity. I’m fighting in Congress to stop scams, protect health care and nutrition programs, and strengthen the services seniors rely on.
Inspired by leaders at the Rhode Island Accessibility Summit. Accessibility is about inclusion, equity, and dignity. Whether it’s access to a storefront, the ballot box, or the U.S. Capitol, we must stand together and keep pushing to make our future more accessible.
Family Service of RI’s GO Team is there for Rhode Islanders in their hardest moments. Proud to bring home $450,000 in federal funding to expand their victim services, so Rhode Islanders get the support they need when it matters most.
Trump has billions of dollars for bombs, but not for Rhode Islanders’ health care? I’ve got a problem with that. End the war, stop the chaos, and lower costs for gas, groceries & health care.
Amazing to witness Ironworkers Local 37 place the top beam of the new East Providence Community Center! This space will provide Rhode Islanders a place to meet, learn, train & get health services. Grateful to federal, state & local leaders for making this dream a reality.
⚡Rhode Island is powering the clean energy future despite Trump’s barrage of attacks on energy affordability.🔋 As we celebrate our progress this #CleanEnergyWeek, we must recommit to investing in clean energy, good union jobs, and lowering Rhode Islanders’ energy bills.
This year’s RI Kids Count Factbook is clear: our youngest RI'ers bear the brunt of federal policy failures. From Trump raising costs to his health care & nutrition cuts, families are getting squeezed. I’m fighting in Congress to ensure kids have the bright future they deserve.
Happy Rhode Island Independence Day! #OTD 250 years ago, on May 4, 1776, Rhode Islanders led the way as the first to declare independence from the British Crown. That same spirit of standing up, speaking out, and putting our values first still guides us today!
For 100 years, the William H. Hall Free Library has been a vibrant hub of knowledge, culture, and community.📚 Delighted to celebrate the library’s centennial and help mark the milestone by laying the building’s cornerstone.
Thank you to all the Rhode Islanders who came to my Passport Fair today to get help renewing their travel documents! Couldn’t make it, but still need passport assistance? Team Amo can help! Call us at 401-729-5600 or email us at AmoOffice@mail.house.gov.
Kicked off my morning with an early send-off for RI250 Honor Flight Veterans heading to Washington to experience the monuments to their service and sacrifice. As we near America’s 250th anniversary, I am forever grateful for the veterans who’ve defended our great nation.🇺🇸
Joined the Youth Narcan Training in East Providence as they learned to identify and stop an overdose. I’m leading the HOPE Act to help communities ensure opioid reversal kits are in public places because with the right tools, we can save lives.
Recognized SBA Rhode Island small business leaders who are expanding opportunity and investing in our communities. This #SmallBusinessWeek, let’s celebrate Rhode Island's favorite local shops, restaurants, and entrepreneurs and #ShopSmall!
Happy #MayDay to Rhode Island workers! Today, we celebrate the labor movement and the workers who keep our state and nation running. Alongside my colleagues in the @laborcaucus.house.gov, I’ll keep fighting for better wages, benefits, and working conditions.
For 75 days, House Republicans prolonged a DHS shutdown. Why? To let ICE & CBP run rampant in our communities without any reforms or guardrails. Glad workers who keep our country safe & airports secure have certainty, now let's hold ICE & CBP accountable. You deserve better than this.
DHS has been without routine funds since Feb. 14, causing hardship for workers. Story: https://www.wpri.com/news/us-and-world/house-approves-bill-to-fund-dhs-end-record-shutdown/
Breaking: House passes DHS funding bill to end 10-week shutdown
Instead of restoring trust or lowering costs, Republicans want to dump $70 billion of taxpayer dollars into ICE & CBP. All to fund raids, roundups, and fear in American communities. Rhode Islanders have had enough. I’m voting NO on this latest budget betrayal.
