Christian is a 17-year-old from #McMinnville, and this morning I shared his story about how he was brutally detained by ICE even though he is a U.S. citizen.
The bottom line: Trump is hurting our children. Trump is creating generational trauma. Trump is failing.
“Daddy, police!” are some of the last words that Mahdi from #Beaverton heard from his child when he was brutally detained by ICE while dropping his baby off at daycare.
Trump isn’t going after the “worst of the worst.” He is ripping families apart.
As Trump continues to try to erode the cornerstone of our democracy, I am fighting back to safeguard your voting rights.
Make sure to RSVP to tune in to our conversation on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 12:00 PM PT.
My @demwomencaucus.bsky.social colleagues & I won’t stop fighting until the gap is closed for everyone. (2/2)
Today is #EqualPayDay, and Latinas face some of the largest pay gaps.
On average, they make 54 cents for every dollar paid to their white male counterparts. Nuestros trabajadores y familias merecen más. (1/2)
GOOD NEWS: I secured $250,000 for the construction of an ADA accessible playground in Settlemier Park in #Woodburn!
Hear me give the good news to Woodburn Mayor Frank Lonergan 📞

President Trump could have avoided 40 days of hardship, stress, and second jobs for these workers, but he wanted to play political games instead.
Democrats had a proposal to fund TSA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard. Republicans rejected it.
President Trump is undermining veterans’ mental health care.
Calls at the VA are going unanswered, therapists are being lost, and wait times are unacceptable.
As the daughter of a veteran and as co-chair of the Mental Health Caucus, I’m committed to protecting our veterans’ hard-earned care.
You won’t believe this…
The Trump Administration is paying a company $1 BILLION to kill clean energy products that would lower your bills.
This will hit hardworking American families that are already struggling under the Trump economy.
This year’s historically warm winter in the Pacific Northwest means less snowfall, worse drought conditions, and an increased wildfire risk.
@repvalhoyle.bsky.social and I led a letter to the Trump Administration, which should be doing more to prepare instead of cutting staff and funding.
It’s #EqualPayDay, and for the second year in a row, the gender pay gap has widened.
Trump and Republicans’ anti-women policies are leaving women worse off. But I’m fighting for equal pay for equal work.
Fair pay shouldn’t be a question. It should be a standard.
I saw firsthand the training our union apprentices receive for sheet metal & electrical trades. Sheet Metal Local 16 SMART & IBEW 48 Electrical Workers Training Center emphasized safety & excellence at every step.
Congress should be creating more good-paying union jobs, not cutting projects.

Today is Equal Pay Day—marking how far into 2026 women must work to earn what men were paid in 2025.
When women are paid fairly, they can reach their potential and our entire economy benefits.
Women deserve equal pay NOW. The DWC will keep fighting.
I will be hosting a seniors’ issues discussion in #Salem next Thursday, April 2, 2026!

Visited Cherriots in Salem to deliver $3,000,000 in funding to help build the South Salem Transit Center.
I also toured a facility, checked out the electric fleet, and even took one of their buses for a spin!
We’re investing in clean, reliable, and affordable transit for working Oregon families.
12,300 Oregonians could die unnecessarily — all because Republicans cut $187 billion from SNAP to fund tax breaks for their billionaire buddies.
Republicans knew the cost of these cuts. They still voted yes.
The largest cuts to SNAP in history will likely lead to worse health outcomes for low-income families and preventable deaths across the country, and the law’s rushed implementation timeline will only worsen these effects. https://ampr.gs/4lAwfEi
Join me, @morelle.house.gov, @orsecretaryread.bsky.social, and Bill Burgess, Marion County Clerk, for a VIRTUAL roundtable talk about defending our constitutional rights to the ballot box 🗳️

The verdict is in, and it confirms what we’ve known all along: social media can lead to mental distress for children.
As co-chair of the Mental Health Caucus, I won’t stop fighting to protect our children’s wellbeing.
The Trump Admin is letting America’s beloved trails fall into disrepair. Last year, the total miles of trails maintained by the Forest Service fell by 22%.
@repkimschrier.bsky.social & I are leading 21 of our colleagues in demanding answers & ensuring our public lands remain safe and accessible.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
