A shutdown is less than 48 hours away.
Don’t forget who’s responsible for that, according to President Trump.

Comey’s indictment is the latest step in Trump’s long-promised campaign of retaliation.
This is not justice.
We must choose fairness, accountability, and community over fear, corruption, and revenge.

With government funding set to expire Tuesday, Speaker Johnson refuses to bring the House back.
He knows seating Adelita Grijalva, just elected in Arizona, would trigger a vote on the Epstein Files.
Putting politics ahead of governing is reckless and wrong.

The Constitution clearly gives Congress, NOT the President, authority over federal spending. (1/2)

While the Supreme Court's decision yesterday was very troubling, it was NOT a final decision on this issue.
We must keep fighting to ensure the power of the purse stays where it belongs, with the United States Congress.
Don't lose hope. (2/2)

We must protect Social Security, not undermine it.
Reckless staffing cuts and chaos at the agency are leaving seniors and people with disabilities stranded without the support they earned.
It’s completely unacceptable.

Every hour the President pressures the FBI and Attorney General to target his rivals is an hour they are not focusing on real threats from terrorism and hostile nations.
Using government power for personal revenge makes America less safe. www.cnn.com/2025/09/25/p...

Congress, not the president, controls the power of the purse.
That is not politics.
That is Article I of the Constitution.
Handing that authority to the executive today sets a dangerous precedent that undermines the checks and balances our system depends on.

I was pleased to welcome @adamschiff.com to Oceanside, where we stood with local healthcare leaders to expose what’s at stake if ACA tax credits expire. Families here and across the US can't afford devastating premium hikes. We must extend the credits, lower costs, and protect access to care.

I never thought I’d see the day when America surrendered global leadership on energy security and innovation to China. But that is exactly what happened this week.

A government shutdown is just 5 days away.
No deals made, no productive talks, no leadership from Trump or Speaker Johnson.
If the government shuts down, responsibility is on them.
But the real cost will fall on the American people. #TrumpsGovernmentShutdown

Cheap, clean energy is the path to stronger growth, lower household bills, and lasting prosperity.
We need elected leaders who are prepared to win the future and keep America competitive for generations to come.
I am committed to doing my part.
I will not accept that outcome. America has always succeeded by embracing science, innovation, and competition.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
