Christina Koch has officially become the first woman to complete a lunar orbit.
Today, I honored her and the Artemis II crew on the floor of the House of Representatives. As an NC State grad, she has made North Carolina extremely proud. Go Pack!
Join me TONIGHT at 8PM for a Telephone Town Hall!
Right now, we are seeing unprecedented economic and global uncertainty amidst Trump's war in Iran. I will be discussing the conflict and answering your questions.

Let's be 100% clear: Trump has put us at war with Iran completely by choice.
His actions have gotten increasingly erratic and dangerous. Congress will be voting today to prevent Trump from waging this war unchecked, and I will be voting yes.
Trump's actions and behavior have been dangerous and damaging.
The 25th amendment has a provision that allows Congress to look into whether the President is fit for office. I helped introduce a bill to establish this commission.
Today is Tax Day, and all but the richest Americans are paying more for healthcare and other essential needs thanks to the Big Ugly Bill.
What's worse, Republicans are funding these tax breaks for the rich through cutting Medicaid + SNAP.
Everyday Americans are suffering while the rich get richer
Thank you, Daniel and Quinn, for having me on the @thehometownholler.bsky.social to talk about North Carolina, the war in Iran, the Epstein files and the many ways Trump’s Washington chaos affects us here at home.

215,000 people in NC no longer receive SNAP benefits because of Trump's cuts.
This is what it looks like when an administration doesn't prioritize the American people: by funding a senseless war, building a ballroom, and giving tax cuts to billionaires.

For more than a year, we have watched President Trump’s behavior grow increasingly unhinged, raising serious questions about his fitness to serve.
That's why I introduced a bill with @raskin.house.gov to assess - on a nonpartisan basis - whether the 25th Amendment should be used.
This administration has found plenty of time to take care of Trump's cronies and billionaire friends, but hasn't found the time to take care of people after natural disasters.
It's been almost two years since Helene, and communities still don't have the aid they were promised.
What a fun morning speaking with small businesses alongside WBNA Champion Azura Stevens, Lendistry, and Visa & Main!
Events like this are crucial to help connect small business owners with important resources to help them succeed.
The Artemis II mission has been the bright spot in what has been a dark week here on Earth.
I am excited for the crew's final descent (I'm especially cheering on NC's own Christina Koch) and look forward to leaning more about this trip's scientific findings.

This morning, @foushee.house.gov hee and I announced $2 million for the GoTriangle Triangle Mobility Hub, which will connect transportation across the region.
This means easier access to work, less congestion on our roads, and more ways to travel across the area.
After Trump's threats of war crimes against Iranians, Democrats once again tried to rein in this conflict through a War Powers Resolution. Republicans just blocked it.
Without congressional action, Trump will continue to conduct a war with no accountability or endgame.
President Trump changes his tune every day about what's going on in Iran or how long it will last. His behavior is increasingly unhinged and we don't know what the mission is.
Congress needs to pass a War Powers Resolution and put an end to this conflict.
ICE + CBP already have a massive slush fund. Congress doesn't need to give them more money without holding them accountable.
I'll return to DC ASAP to vote for the unanimously passed Senate bill to fund TSA, FEMA, & DHS agencies while Congress negotiates reforms for ICE + CBP.
Trump has threatened to wipe out an entire civilization. Even if he doesn't make good on this threat, it is horrifying and beyond irresponsible.
Speaker Johnson must immediately call Congress back to D.C. to rein in Trump's erratic behavior and this escalating war of choice.
Trump’s increasingly erratic behavior is escalating this conflict, and now he is threatening war crimes.
This admin has no way to pay for this war, no clear strategy, and no endgame.
Congress must rein in Trump’s actions before this conflict spirals further out of control.
Since Trump took office, electric costs have gone up 21% in NC. And his war in Iran will only push prices higher.
Now, the proposal to raise rates an extra 18% will hit families' already-tight budgets across the state.
None of this puts North Carolinians first.
A huge victory for Western NC.
For over a year, Kristi Noem blocked life-saving assistance to Western NC after Helene.
I wrote a bill to scrap this destructive policy, & finally, the Trump admin caved to the pressure of North Carolinians.
I look forward to WNC continuing to rebuild!
