Today, I delivered $850,000 in Community Project Funding that I secured for Hampton Roads Transit.

Like all Americans, Senator Lucas has a right to due process and a presumption of innocence.
This raid on Senator Lucas’ office and businesses also comes as President Trump has pressured the DOJ to pursue investigations and prosecutions against New York AG Letitia James, former FBI Director James Comey, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, and multiple Democratic Members of Congress.
It should be noted that this is occurring just two weeks after Senator Lucas helped lead the successful effort by Virginia voters to reject President Trump’s attempt to rig the midterm elections.
While we await the full facts of the investigation, it must be acknowledged that this FBI raid occurs in the broader context of President Trump’s repeated abuse of the Department of Justice to target his perceived political opponents.
This morning I attended the Kids, Kin ‘n Caregivers 5th Annual Breakfast, an event that brings together community leaders, partners and supporters to celebrate kinship families, which include grandparents and relatives who step in to raise children when circumstances require it
I fielded questions about the Big Ugly Bill’s impact on our economy, soaring gas prices and the misguided war in Iran during the town hall I hosted this evening in Portsmouth
Thanks to my constituents for staying engaged and sharing your opinions
It was a great day for Hampton Roads, as I joined Gov. Spanberger, Sen. Kaine, government officials and project partners at the construction update for the LS Greenlink site
Once completed, the facility will manufacture underwater cables for offshore wind and energy projects

Now in its 10th year, the Iverson Classic is one of the premier showcases for high school basketball players in the nation
During the conference, former Newport News Mayor McKinley L. Price, DDS., was honored as he wrapped up service as the President of the organization
Congratulations, Dr. Price
It was a pleasure to give remarks today during the Old Dominion Dental Society Conference, which is the historic professional organization for African American dentists in the Commonwealth of Virginia

According to the AFL-CIO's latest report, roughly 380 workers die every day in America due to unsafe working conditions.
This Workers Memorial Day, we honor and remember those who have lost their lives on the job, and recommit to preventing these tragedies.
We’ve released our 35th annual report “Death on the Job: The Toll of Neglect.”
5,070 workers died on the job in 2024. Every worker should be able to go home safe and healthy after their shift, but the Trump admin is putting workers at greater risk. https://bit.ly/4ecBjx3
