Today, on National Purple Heart Day, we recognize the incredible courage and sacrifice of all the Purple Heart recipients who served our country. We honor their bravery and thank them for defending our freedom.
The ‘Big, Ugly Law’ is kicking millions of Americans off food assistance. And for what? To give tax breaks to the wealthy so they can buy another yacht? It’s simply inhumane. I stand against these cuts and will do everything in my power to reverse them.
For generations, Americans have fought for the sacred right to vote. On this 60th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act, we must renew that fight—because that right is under attack. The struggle for fair elections and a strong democracy is far from over.
60 years after the Voting Rights Act, the progress we’ve made is under attack. From voter suppression to civil rights rollbacks, we’re being trampled on, but we must keep pushing forward. It’s up to us to recommit to the fight for our democracy and our livelihoods. newsone.com/6361904/voti...
The ‘Big, Ugly Law’ will kick 17 million people off their healthcare, including nearly 2 million Floridians. Hospitals will close. People will die. My Democratic colleagues and I are committed to always fighting for Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act, and healthcare for all.

As Epstein resurfaces in the news, don’t forget it was the @miamiherald.com that blew the lid off Epstein’s crimes. Their investigative journalism skills is the reason Epstein was eventually imprisoned.
And so many of us, while riding in the car, are kept up to date on what’s in the news from our historic local WLRN and the always-reliable PBS channels. And for what? To give tax breaks to greedy billionaires who, if they spent 10 million dollars a day for the next 50 years, would still be rich.
We are defunding Sesame Street, programs like Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, and all of the wonderful programming for preschoolers that have shaped generations of ‘little just-wannabe-good-citizens children.’
