The president is openly attempting to rob American taxpayers to the tune of $230 MILLION. And yet he won’t help everyday Americans with their healthcare premiums or grocery bills. It’s one of the most brazen abuses of power in history. Will any Republican push back against this corruption?
Breaking News: President Trump wants $230 million from the Justice Department for investigating him, people familiar with the matter say. Any settlement might ultimately be approved by senior department officials who defended him or those in his orbit. nyti.ms/4hmIi5X
This is a direct consequence of the president’s reckless decision to mass pardon hundreds of individuals who participated in one of the worst acts of political violence in American history. Thankful that the individual was apprehended before a tragedy occurred.
FLASH: Pardoned Capitol rioter charged with threatening to murder Hakeem Jeffries at NYC event this week www.cbsnews.com/news/pardone...
As millions of federal workers go without pay, the president is tearing down the White House to begin construction on a brand new $250 million ballroom. He should be focused on negotiating a bipartisan budget bill that reopens government and lowers health care costs for families.
Demolition crews have begun tearing down part of the White House to build President Trump’s long-desired ballroom — despite his pledge that construction of the $250 million addition wouldn’t “interfere” with the existing building. https://wapo.st/4hl7jyF
First, the president destroyed important trading relationships that American farmers depend on. Then, the president handed Argentina a $40 billion bailout and undermined farmers further. Now, he’s working to undercut American cattleman. How is this America First?
Why U.S. cattle ranchers say Trump's Argentine beef import talk is no solution to domestic food supply threat
Head Start and other programs that families depend on are not bargaining chips. That’s why I’m in Washington pushing for a bipartisan budget bill that will reopen government and calling on the administration to renew grant funding for Head Start. www.kcur.org/education/20...
The government has been shut down for 3 weeks—and House Republicans have been on vacation for over a month. Now, they’ve canceled votes and extended their vacation another week. Completely irresponsible and out of touch.
House Republicans stopped revising their legislative calendar back in July. So I updated it for them. Since July 4, the House has conducted 20 days of business in 16 weeks. Oct. 27-30 remains TBD.
Instead of sitting down with Democrats and negotiating a bipartisan budget that prevents healthcare costs from skyrocketing, House Republicans have been on vacation for the past month. It’s time for them to return to Washington and get back to work on behalf of American families!
There are thousands of Missouri farmers who are fighting for their livelihoods at this very moment. Instead of providing relief to these hardworking Americans, the president handed $40 billion to bailout his failing friend in Argentina.
Q: What do you have to say to farmers who feel that the deal is benefitting Argentina more than it is them? TRUMP: Look, Argentina is fighting for its life, young lady. You don't know anything about it. You understand what that means? They are dying
The wealthy get a $1 trillion tax cut. Argentina gets a $40 billion bailout. Trump gets a $200 million ballroom. Kristi Noem gets $172 million in private jets. But Republicans refuse to lower health care costs for families or provide relief to American farmers.
The Trump administration just ordered two Gulfstream luxury private jets for Kristi Noem at a cost of over $172 million. This comes as Americans can barely afford groceries.
This weekend, millions of Americans stood together and did what Americans do best—exercise their first amendment right to protest their government. It is extremely irresponsible that the Speaker and Republican leaders continue to smear these Americans and lie about the peaceful protests.
KARL: You talked about anarchists, antifa advocates, the pro-Hamas wing. I mean, 'Hate America Rally' sounds like enemies. MIKE JOHNSON: Well, there were a lot of hateful messages yesterday. We have video & photos of pretty violent rhetoric calling out the president. I don't think it's pro-American
Wishing a very happy Diwali to all those celebrating in #MO05 and around the world! May this Festival of Lights be filled with joy and spent with friends, family, and loved ones.
16 days ago, Republicans shut down the government rather than negotiate with Democrats to lower health care costs. Since then, House Republicans have been enjoying a vacation as public servants work without pay. How about you start by bringing House Republicans back to work?
Mike Johnson: "Many of you have asked all of us, 'How does it end?' We have no idea."
The Trump administration and Republicans in Congress refuse to spend a dime helping to lower health care costs for American families—but they’re more than happy to give a $40 BILLION handout to Trump’s personal friend in Argentina. It’s outrageous.
The Trump administration is working on an additional $20 billion support package for Argentina. If completed, it would bring the total price tag of a U.S. backstop plan for Buenos Aires to $40 billion.
The president promised he would lower costs for hardworking families on Day One. Instead, his tariff taxes immediately started driving up prices on everything from health care and housing to groceries and new cars.
The Protect Our TEETH Act would require the EPA to consult and publish a rapid response evidence review by independent and nonpartisan experts at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) when proposing new water fluoridation guidance. cleaver.house.gov/media-center...
For 80 years, the addition of fluoride to community water supply has helped reduce tooth decay & improve dental health, especially for those who can't afford to regularly see the dentist. My Protect Our TEETH Act would ensure any attempts to change these policies are backed by science—not politics.
When making policy decisions that impact the health and safety of American families, it’s important that Congress and the administration use science-backed data from independent experts. That’s why I introduced the Protect Our TEETH Act. kansascitymag.com/a-bill-intro...
