The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law just delivered $1.4 million to improve Santa Ynez Valley interconnectivity.
Learn how this grant will better connect Solvang, Buellton, and the Santa Ynez Chumash reservation. ⬇️
President Biden has now designated 600k+ acres just south of Joshua Tree National Park as the Chuckwalla National Monument. ⛰️🎉
I was proud to fight for this effort — & even prouder to see that President Biden has now conserved more lands and waters than any President in history!
With the #SocialSecurityFairnessAct officially signed into law, we are finally restoring the rightful retirement benefits for our dedicated former school teachers, public employees, & first responders.
Proud to help get this effort across the finish line. ⤵️
I am just about to head to the National Cathedral to pay my respects to President Jimmy Carter.
As I do, I'm reflecting on his legacy as perhaps one of the greatest environmental champions to ever sit in the Oval Office.
Our servicemembers sacrifice so much to protect our country—and they deserve reliable and safe housing for themselves and their families.
Proud to see my bill with Rep. Thompson which will improve conditions in military family housing be signed into law! ⬇️
Great news: starting this month, seniors on Medicare will have their prescription drug costs capped at $2,000 per year! 💊🩺
@housedems.bsky.social are delivering real relief through cost-savings measures like these, thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act!
The Central Coast knows all too well the terror that comes with a sudden and fast-moving fire.
My thoughts are with the LA County families who lost their homes last night, and those who are still in harm's way.
Grateful for our first responders working to protect Californians.
My bill to rename the Santa Maria Post Office for longtime Mayor Larry Lavagnino has officially been signed into law by President Biden! 📝
Proud to have pushed for such an important honor — hear what former Mayor Lavagnino had to say. ⬇️
House Republican’s first move of the new Congress? ⤵️
Not passing legislation to lower grocery prices, housing, or health care — instead writing the House Rules to fast-track bills that will lay the groundwork for a national abortion ban & strip women of their bodily autonomy.
🚨 A severe and destructive windstorm is expected to hit parts of the Central Coast today through tomorrow morning!
Head to your local emergency services pages for the most up-to-date information. ⬇️

Today, President Biden followed through on my request to protect the Central Coast by banning future offshore drilling and oil & gas exploration.
This victory builds on years of advocacy — thank you, President Biden, for taking bold action to protect our environment and Central Coast waters.
@chuygarcia.house.gov and I wish you all a very happy Three Kings Day! May the gifts of the three wise men bring joy & prosperity.
Les deseamos a todos una feliz Día de Los Reyes Magos! A todos los que celebran, que los regalos de Los Reyes Magos les brinden alegría & prosperidad.
I proudly voted YES on the #SocialSecurityFairnessAct to protect the earned benefits of our nation’s public servants.
I'm glad to see this bill signed into law by President Biden! 📝
But throughout today, I will not stop reflecting on the memory of those who gave their lives and being grateful for those who still are recovering from the day 4 years ago when our nation lost that 140 year streak.
Today, I will join my colleagues in certifying the 2024 election (a process that will be overseen by one of its candidates, a testament in itself to our nation's resilient democracy) and restore our tradition of peaceful transfers of power.
But still, Donald Trump hails January 6th as a "day of love" and promises to pardon violent felons who beat Capitol Police officers on live television.
Millions watched the insurrection unfold with horror, and spoke out publicly and privately rejecting the Big Lie that underpinned this attempt to overturn a free and fair election.
In response, we have held those responsible accountable – including impeaching its architect.
My memories of the insurrection are still as clear as ever.
It's not easy to forget the violence that took the lives of brave law enforcement officers protecting public servants–colleagues & friends who escaped the wrath of the Capitol's attackers in some cases by mere moments.
Today, as Congress prepares to certify the 2024 election, I'm remembering and reflecting on January 6th, 2021 — a dark day in American history that our incoming President and his supporters have sought to rewrite – when our democracy was threatened like never before. 🧵
