I stand with NASA employees, who are being villainized across the board by this Administration and facing threats of unjustified layoffs.
I'm proud to introduce the Saving NASA's Workforce Act with Ranking Member Lofgren to prevent these workforce reductions.

As a former school board member, I'm deeply concerned by the far-reaching implications of this order.
I fully support any legislation and challenges to this EO, and I will do everything in my power to challenge the GOP and hold this Administration accountable. (2/2)
The Department of Education supports 1.6 million students across North Carolina's K-12 schools.
This unconstitutional and heartless executive order won’t just affect our schools, it will also directly impact our children and their future. (1/2)

It was a pleasure meeting with Mayor Gilbert and officials with the Town of Apex to discuss important priorities for local residents.
Thank you for all the work you do for our community, and I look forward to strengthening our partnership in the weeks and months ahead.
📢 Applications are still open for my Summer 2025 internship program in my Durham and DC offices!

It was great speaking to fellows with the National Humanities Center to discuss the state of our democracy and federal funding cuts.
Cuts proposed by this Administration create uncertainty for many Americans working in humanities, and I will continue to fight to counter these actions.
Nowruz Mubarak to everyone celebrating in #NC04 and around the world. May you celebrate the Persian New Year surrounded by friends and loved ones.
It was great meeting officials with Chatham County to discuss the issues that matter most to local residents.
As the former NC State Senator representing Chatham County, I know the potential this area holds, and I look forward to continuing this work together to uplift the local community.
NEXT WEEK 3/25: My office will be holding Mobile Office Hours at the Morrisville Aquatics & Fitness Center from 11AM – 1PM.
If you are experiencing issues with a federal agency, come by to speak with a member of my constituent services team – we are here to serve you!
I met with CORA Food Pantry to discuss their critical work in combatting food insecurity within our community.
In #NC04, over 68,000 people rely on SNAP to put food on the table, and the GOP’s proposed cuts to these benefits will place an undue burden on local organizations working to fill in gaps.

Welcome to the Democratic Daily Download.
Every day, you will hear from @housedemocrats.bsky.social on how we’re fighting back against Trump and the GOP — as they rip off working families to give massive tax breaks to their billionaire donors.
Today's update: our Day of Action to Save Medicaid.
My district is home to the largest EPA campus in the country and these proposed cuts could impact R&D employees here in NC.
I'm working with my colleagues to pursue all legislative avenues to block these constitutionally dubious cuts to our workforce. (2/2)

Trump's plan to gut the EPA's Office of Research and Development will devastate our ability to address public health risks across the country. (1/2)

Great news! GE Aerospace is investing $16 million to upgrade its local manufacturing facility in Durham.
I met with their team to discuss plans to expand their Durham plant, which will help create good-paying jobs in NC-04 and innovate the new parts needed for the future of flight.
The arrest and detention of Mahmoud Khalil is a brazen attempt to silence those who disagree with the President & is an alarming attack on free speech & democratic rights.
I joined over 100 House Democrats in demanding answers from the Trump Administration on his detention & attempted deportation.
This is heartless. Programs that help farmers sell food to local schools are a win-win: kids can have fresh food while farmers maintain a steady demand.
Cutting these programs will place a $660M burden on schools across the country when many are already struggling.
