Tonight, I'll join Minnesota House Speaker Emirita @melissahortman.bsky.social and State Representative @josiahhill.bsky.social for a town hall in Stillwater. Tune in on YouTube at 6:30pm to watch live: www.youtube.com/live/cZEARh5...
Cutting regional climate centers is not government efficiency. Illegally defunding critical data collection is reckless and undercuts the essential service they provide: Free, on-time, accurate weather information for all of us.

It was great to join together with @mayorcarter.bsky.social, @mccollum.house.gov, and Saint Paul Fire Chief Butch Inks for the opening of Saint Paul Fire Station 7!
This station will expand fire & EMS coverage and has the city's first decontamination showers to help protect first responders.
My fellow Democrats and I warned the public that Mr. Hegseth was grossly unqualified to serve as Secretary of Defense. It has become clear that not only is he incompetent, but his actions are jeopardizing our national security.
The time has come for Secretary Hegseth to resign.
My office will host neighborhood hours tomorrow at Dayton’s Bluff Library in Saint Paul from 10am-noon. My staff will be available to help you address any issue you may face in dealing with a federal agency. Learn more: mccollum.house.gov/contact/neig...
Looking forward to joining the League of Women Voters of Saint Paul tomorrow for an Earth Day discussion on the importance of protecting the Mississippi River — the most endangered river in the country according to @americanrivers.bsky.social. Join our conversation: www.lwvsp.org/event-6145008
With Earth Day approaching, I also find myself reflecting on the pontiff’s actions to protect the gift that God has given all of us: Planet Earth. A gift to be cherished by all. We can honor Pope Francis’ wisdom by sharing the resources we’ve been given and using them wisely.
Pope Francis will be remembered for leading by example. By showing compassion for all of God’s children, he challenged the entire world — and its leaders in particular — to be compassionate toward others.
Wishing a joyous and peaceful evening to our Jewish neighbors celebrating Passover tonight. Chag Sameach!
Wishing a happy Easter to all those who celebrate! May your day be filled with peace, love, and time together with family and friends. 🐣🌷🐇
Listening to you is my most important job.
I visited Carondelet Village for another town hall yesterday, where residents told me they're worried about President Trump's attacks against Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. I’ll always vote to protect Minnesotans who rely on these services.
We live in an extraordinary time as people are being denied due process and threatened with displacement and deportation. I will continue to fight to protect and defend our democracy and our Constitution and support the rights of all people.
Today we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the resettlement of our Hmong and Southeast Asian allies. For 50 years, since the end of Vietnam War, Hmong Americans have been calling Minnesota home and making tremendous contributions to our culture and economy.
It’s heartbreaking to learn of a school shooting at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. There have already been 98 mass shootings just four months into 2025. These are preventable acts of senseless brutality. We must take action to end gun violence.
Medicaid keeps Minnesota's families safe, healthy, and financially secure — but Republicans are trying to make the largest cut to Medicaid in American history to pass massive tax cuts for billionaires. I'll always fight against Republican efforts to take away Minnesotans' healthcare.
In Minnesota, one out of three newborns and their mothers depend on Medicaid for healthy birth care. We must work together to protect Minnesotans’ access to these services that are keeping our families and communities healthy, safe, and economically stable.
One in four Minnesotans rely on Medicaid for their health care. Today I joined families and volunteers with Protect Our Care Minnesota to speak out against Republican plans in Washington to cut vital services like Medicaid to give away massive tax breaks for billionaires.
Thanks to the legislators who invited me and constituents who joined us in Saint Paul this weekend for a town hall on the impact of the Trump Administration's cuts to the services that Minnesotans rely on. I'm empowered to fight back through your actions — Together, we're making a difference.
I am grateful that Governor Josh Shapiro and his family are ok following the arson attack on their residence. Thanks to the swift actions of first responders who ensured that no one was injured and quickly apprehended a suspect. Political violence has no place in our country.
Minnesotans are not powerless to hold the Trump administration accountable. We are stronger together.
