Robert Menendez

Robert Jacobsen Menendez Jr. is an American lawyer and politician serving as the U.S. representative for New Jersey's 8th congressional district since 2023. A member of the Democratic Party and son of former U.S. Senator Bob Menendez, he was a commissioner of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey from 2021 to 2023.

The GEO Group asked ICE - currently run by a former GEO exec - to remove federal standards that require them to follow laws around the treatment of detainees— including shielding them from legal liability from labor violations. Yet another reason Delaney should be closed & ICE should be abolished.
The Administration needs to stop deporting people especially to countries where they later admit it is functionally impossible to retrieve them. If you can't get them back, do not send them there. Read our full letter to Secretary Mullin and Senior Official Venturella below.
