Today, @governor.ca.gov Newsom submitted his request to Congress for additional federal disaster assistance to help L.A. recover from the fires. (1/2)
On this somber day of mourning in the Jewish community, it was comforting to spend time with friends at the annual Jewish National Fund “Stand With #Israel” event.
A terror group that kidnaps and murders a 10 month old baby cannot be allowed to exist. #Israel has an obligation to ensure Hamas is completely defeated. (3/3)

As #wildfires continue to threaten our communities, we must take proactive measures to prevent them.

I support federal aid to the victims of federally declared disaster areas. It could be in Los Angeles, Kentucky, or elsewhere.
The victims of this natural disaster and the others around the country deserve federal assistance to aid with the cleanup and help people recover. (2/2)
Kentucky was recently devastated by severe storms, straight-line winds, flooding, and landslides. Hundreds of people have had their lives uprooted and at least twelve people have lost their lives. (1/2)

That's why I'm pleased that a majority of Democrats have signed this letter authored by Congressman Sean Casten and myself. (2/2)
Trump's plan to take over Gaza and displace its 2 million residents is as dangerous as it is ridiculous. This proposal does nothing to protect #Israel, or find a serious path forward. (1/2)

Fed Chairman Jerome Powell might be one of the only people left in Washington with support on both sides of the aisle.
At today’s @ushousefsc.bsky.social hearing, I urged Powell to maintain the Fed’s independence and ignore demands by #Trump
