Every taxpayer should get their refund on time. But Trump's decision to fire 7,000 IRS staff may delay refunds & cause financial pain for many Americans.
I joined a letter with @ross.house.gov, @doggett.house.gov, and 130+ of our colleagues in demanding answers from the IRS.
Selma. A powerful and humbling reminder of the Civil Rights leaders who organized and marched across this bridge for voting rights 60 years ago this weekend and continued work ahead. ✊
Veterans, we want to hear your stories! If you want to share your story with us and the Library of Congress for future generations, please reach out to our office.
We’d love to hear from you!
New Mexico! Daylight Saving Time starts today. If you haven’t already, don’t forget to set your clocks one hour forward!
Happy International Women’s Day!
Today and every day, let’s honor the extraordinary women who fought for equal rights! And, as we stand on the backs of those giants, let’s continue the fight for equal rights for ourselves and future generations. 🩷
Perhaps this is why Musk and the Admin are data mining federal data systems—looks like they’re looking to make money off of privatizing and cryptotizing federal housing programs.
Someone is going to make a LOT of money from this (and destabilize the housing and mortgage markets in the process). ⬇️
It’s simple: workers should be able to exercise their right to organize free from intimidation or retaliation.
As a member of the @laborcaucus.bsky.social, I am proud to co-sponsor the #PROAct to support workers in the fight for better wages, benefits, and working conditions.
This week the GOP called a hearing in support of Trump’s immigration policies.
But these policies aren’t securing the border. The admin fired many top law enforcement officers investigating and prosecuting cases. They've frozen funds needed to address violence and drug problems in our communities.
Medicaid covers 34% of residents in NM-01, including 78,000 children, 3,100 births, and 22,000 seniors.
This is who the GOP is taking Medicaid from: children, seniors, and mothers.
But we are fighting back!

I’ve been critiqued for my appearance all my life—mostly by men who wouldn’t survive 5 minutes under the same scrutiny.
But I love my self-expression & no troll is changing that. It makes me effective for the people.
Ladies, wear what you want. The haters will have to adjust.
America, we must continue to be courageous—because what is happening right now is not normal. We must continue to fight back in Congress, in the courts, and in our communities.
Here’s what you can do:
- Raise your voice
- Engage in collective action
- Every day acts of resistance
Stay strong!
Yesterday, Elon Musk was asked by the GOP to come meet with members of Congress because, just like all of you out there, they are deeply upset by what he was doing.
The message from Senate and House Republicans – you need to involve Congress and do it right.
Cecile Richards was a titan—not just for reproductive rights, but for labor and voting rights as well. Cecile was dedicated to making the world a better place.
Her legacy will be felt for generations, and as we celebrate her life tonight, may that legacy inspire the next generation.
We are not going to sit around and normalize the things Donald Trump and his Administration are doing.
Because the things he’s doing are not normal and, in many cases, are not legal.
That’s why he’s losing in the courts, in Congress, and in our communities.
I am absolutely devastated to learn of the passing of Congressman Sylvester Turner—who I was just talking and laughing with on the House Floor yesterday.
You will be missed dear friend—we will carry your memory and work forward. 💔
I hope this Ash Wednesday and the next 40 days and nights are a reflective and enriching time for those who partake. ❤️

We just walked out of the state of the Union. My shirt showed Trump an important message: NO KINGS LIVE HERE.
In the spirit of student protestors from the Civil Rights Movement, I’m proud to have protested and walked out with many of my colleagues. This is NOT a normal time.
This is not normal.
Our communities’ voices must be heard. That’s why I invited Dr. Linda Son-Stone, CEO of First Nations Community HealthSource, as my guest for tonight’s joint address to Congress.
Cuts to Tribal programs, Medicaid, and other programs will impact thousands of families in NM and across the country.
Happy Monday! As we start the week, I want to give you all an update on what’s happening here in D.C.
