Students with disabilities deserve every opportunity to thrive after high school — but the Trump Admin cut a program in Spotsylvania County that helped make that possible.
That's why Senator Kaine and I introduced a bipartisan, bicameral bill to revive it and make sure no one can do this again.

Is anyone surprised? Because I’m sure as hell not.
Secretary Hegseth MUST resign.
I extend my deepest congratulations to Dale Sisson on his retirement from the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division.
I was honored to thank Mr. Sisson for his service to our country by recognizing him on the U.S. House floor as my 'Constituent of the Week.'
More than 7,500 Virginians tuned into my telephone town hall tonight!
We covered a wide range of topics — from Trump's Big, Ugly Bill to Social Security to the new VA care center in Fredericksburg.
Thank you to everyone who joined the conversation.
I’m proud that we are able to help Virginians, like Kenneth, receive timely responses from their government.

Every veteran who earned GI Bill benefits should be able to transfer them to their dependents — no matter when they grow their family.
That’s why I introduced a bipartisan bill to give military families more flexibility and keep the American dream alive.
As a dad of two kids who attended Virginia public schools, I’ve seen the impact great teachers can make.
I'm proud to help lead a bipartisan bill to provide financial relief to educators who tutor students outside the classroom.
Teachers are the cornerstone of our Commonwealth.
I’m leading a bipartisan bill to fix an outdated policy that blocks some veterans from transferring their earned GI Bill benefits to future dependents.
It’s a commonsense fix to an unfair rule.
Read what veterans from across VA-07 are saying 👇
I'm leading a bipartisan bill to fix a policy that prevents service members from transferring their GI Bill benefits to dependents.
Right now, if a service member retires before starting a family, they lose the ability to transfer their earned benefits.
This bill would fix this unfair policy.
This bill undermines our national security, hurts our military’s readiness, and shortchanges those who serve our country.
In Congress, I’ll continue to fight extreme partisan efforts that put politics and partisanship over commonsense policies. (4/4)
And that’s not even mentioning the cruel policy riders that would restrict access to reproductive health care for military families. (3/4)
Eliminating 45,000 public servants from the Department of Defense and defunding counterterrorism efforts by $170 MILLION makes us less safe.
Excluding $300 MILLION in security assistance for Ukraine is a gift to Putin and an abandonment our own national security interests. (2/4)
🚨I voted NO on last night’s attempt to defund counterterrorism and slash the federal workforce.
Because as a Member of Congress, I have no greater responsibility than ensuring the safety of our nation. (1/4)
This week, I fought for and secured an $18 million increase in the NDAA to help produce more of these drones to make sure American troops don’t continue to lag behind in this critical technology.
My Ukraine Caucus colleagues and I were briefed by Ambassador Oksana Markarova and the Ukrainian Embassy on Ukraine’s evolving drone technology.
These low-cost, high-impact drones are transforming the battlefield.

Republicans voted to slash Medicaid and SNAP to give tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy.
Virginians like 3-year-old Luka, who relies on 24/7 care and 18 medications covered by Medicaid, will pay the price. That is unacceptable.

Grateful to Dr. Megan Franco and Northern Virginia Food Rescue for their incredible work in VA-07.
This week, Tarazha and Alejandra from my team visited their facility to learn how they’re improving food access and building a more resilient system in our region.
Rey from my team attended the Change of Command at NSA South Potomac, honoring Commanding Officer Captain Townsend and welcoming Commanding Officer Captain Nadder.
He also met with Rear Admiral Faehnle and discussed how we can work together to strengthen our national defense.
