Sarah and Yaron were murdered after attending an event for young professionals focused on humanitarian aid and peace.
It could have been my staff, or my kids. Nobody is safe when antisemitic hate is normalized.

Today I joined Jewish Democrats to pay respects to Sarah and Yaron, who were murdered in an antisemitic hate crime at the Capital Jewish Museum last night.
There is no cause, no conflict, no grievance that can justify murdering innocent people in the street. This cannot be the new normal.
The ugly Republican bill passed, but the fight isn't over.
I'll keep demanding the lower costs American families need — no matter how many sleepless nights it takes.
House Republicans just voted for the deepest cuts to health care and nutrition assistance ever, all to further enrich the super wealthy.
I’m proud Democrats fought this One Big Ugly Bill. We’ll keep demanding the lower costs families need.
House Republicans' Big Ugly Bill would make the deepest health care and food assistance cuts we've ever seen.
All to give tax breaks to billionaires and huge corporations.
Antisemitic violence and hatred have no place in America and we must do all we can to fight it and keep our Jewish communities safe.
Horrified by the deadly shooting outside the Capital Jewish Museum in DC this evening where the American Jewish Committee held an event with young staffers and diplomats. As we wait for more information, my thoughts are with the victims and their families.
Wonderful to celebrate the Florida Gator Basketball Champions in DC!
I thanked Clayton and our never-say-die Gator Boys for inspiring #GatorNation and urged Condon to stay at UF to run it back in '26. #GoGators 🐊🏆
The Army Corps of Engineers plays a crucial role for America’s water resources, but Trump is playing political games and putting critical safety projects across the country at risk.

I feel fortunate to have known & counted Gerry as a friend & I will miss him.
May his memory be for a blessing.
@connolly.house.gov was the most decent, genuine, devoted public servant. A man who loved his people, his wife & family & was a loyal friend. He fiercely fought for his constituents & his beloved federal workers & he valiantly fought cancer like he did with everything he took on.
Why did Republicans start their meeting at 1AM?
To jam their Big Ugly Bill through the House and hide their plans to rip healthcare and other vital services away from millions of Americans. I got here at 5:30 this morning to join my Democratic colleagues in fighting it.
Republicans' Big Ugly Bill caves to billionaires by selling out working Americans.
They think sneaking it through in the middle of the night will stop us from calling them out. They’re wrong.
Proud to stand with my @housedemocrats.bsky.social colleagues in support of @replamonica.bsky.social.
The charges brought against Rep. McIver are purely political, and a gross abuse of power. President Trump needs to stop attacking Congress and get to work serving American families.
Trump’s Big Ugly Bill would deliver the biggest loss of health care coverage in American history & takes food off the tables for millions of people.
They know how bad they’re hurting families – that's why they’re trying to sneak it through in the middle of the night.
After ripping TPS from 500,000+ Venezuelans, Trump flip-flopped AGAIN to let Big Oil fund the Maduro regime’s crimes against humanity.
No more games. We must pass my REVOCAR Act to cut off Maduro's cashflow and stop Trump’s attempts to bribe dictators for deportations.
I led nearly 50 Members of Congress in an amicus brief in this case to push back on Trump’s attacks on people here legally.
SCOTUS ignored our filing, just like Trump ignoring how the situation in Venezuela has gotten WORSE, not better.
www.miamiherald.com/news/local/i...
Rep. McIver's prosecution is a naked political attempt to intimidate Congress from conducting its oversight duties.
My full statement:
The Supreme Court’s TPS decision is absolutely wrong. It allows Trump to deport people with no criminal record to a criminal dictatorship.
I’ll keep pushing back to protect my Venezuelan neighbors. This fight isn’t over.
Venezuelan TPS holders fled the Maduro regime and built lives in America. This atrocious decision allows Trump to deport non-criminals back to a murderous dictator.
This fight is NOT over. We must pass my Venezuela TPS Act to keep our community safe.
