Happy Korean American Day! Today commemorates the arrival of the first Korean immigrants to America in 1903 and honors the culture and traditions of our Korean American community.
Our national security and military are not pawns to be played with so Trump can get his hands on Venezuelan oil. Last week, I joined my @hispaniccaucus.bsky.social colleagues to call out this administration’s reckless pursuit of military intervention and regime change in Venezuela.
We cannot leave our Reserve and National Guard servicemembers with disruptions to their pay and benefits when their mission or job functions change. Rep. Bergman and I introduced legislation to fix that issue directly.
Our servicemembers deserve equitable benefits and pay. I’m proud to have introduced the Duty Status Reform Act and looking forward to working with my colleagues to get this done.
It was great to meet with the San Gabriel Basin Watermaster, San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District, Three Valleys Municipal Water District, and Upper San Gabriel Water District to discuss the Golden Mussel control plan. Thank you for providing clean & sustainable water for our communities.
The current Reserve Component system is failing to meet the needs of our National Guard and Reserves servicemembers. I am proud to introduce bipartisan legislation with Rep. Bergman that will directly address some of the current discrepancies and promote equity in member pay and benefits.
Across America, our communities deserve access to quality and affordable care, and while the fight to lower healthcare costs continues, today’s vote was a step in the right direction. (2/2)
Today, I proudly voted yes on the clean bill to restore the ACA tax credits, because we need these cost-saving tax credits to give relief to the millions of Americans feeling crushed by the weight of healthcare costs. (1/2)
Today, I proudly introduced the Duty Status Reform Act with Rep. Bergman to fix this system and promote equity and fairness for servicemember pay and benefits. (2/2)
When I worked at the Pentagon, I learned the complexity of the current Reserve Component system and how it hurts our servicemembers and force readiness. (1/2)
As we vote today on a clean bill to restore the ACA tax credits and reverse premium increases that millions of Americans are feeling, I urge my Republican colleagues to do the right thing and join us in the fight for a more affordable healthcare system. (2/2)
Today, every member of the House will be given an opportunity to put party affiliation aside and put our constituents and the health of our communities first. (1/2)
@gabbygiffords.bsky.social is a friend and one of the fiercest, most resilient people I know. 15 years ago, she survived a horrific tragedy that took the lives of six other people. Now, her leadership and advocacy for gun safety inspire all of us. Gabby, it’s a privilege to fight beside you.
A year after the devastating fires, our communities continue to rebuild as the battle for federal aid goes on. Thank you to the firefighters and emergency responders who protected our communities, and the residents and community leaders who stepped up to help their neighbors out.
Our Armed Forces deserve to keep their families together and feel safe in their communities. That’s why I introduced legislation that will protect military families from deportations and separations that harm our servicemembers and jeopardize mission readiness.
Small business concerns should be heard by the SBA Office of Advocacy, including on tariffs. A letter to Congress shared submissions on tariffs are not tracked. My bill to expand the Office of Advocacy’s hotline to receive and report information on tariffs ensures small business are not ignored.
I am deeply disturbed by the outrageously violent tactics that this Administration has used against our communities. Weaponizing ICE sows fear and incites chaos. I am monitoring the news from the horrific fatal shooting out of Minneapolis.

Having overseen the largest childcare system in the country at the Department of Defense, I understand the difficulties that families face when it comes to childcare.
The freezing of these resources is nothing more than a vindictive and political act and children are going to be made to suffer.
Trump is more concerned about foreign oil than about taking care of American families. As childcare cost continue to rise across the nation, this is just another hardship this administration is forcing upon the American people. www.politico.com/news/2026/01...
This was not a law enforcement operation like they have claimed. It was about grabbing oil and trying to get their hands on Venezuelan resources.
