#NC04 researchers from Duke and NC Central have been critical to developing the Wide Field Instrument that Roman relies on, and enables large-scale surveys of the sky.
While Trump tries to gut this vital agency, I will keep fighting to support NASA's work and secure our leadership in space. (2/2)
I led a visit to NASA Goddard as Ranking Member of the Space & Aeronautics Subcommittee with @salinas.house.gov where we were able to view the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope as it nears completion and scheduled launch in 2027, or possibly as early as 2026. (1/2)

I joined @foushee.house.gov in demanding that the Trump admin release funds that rightfully belong to Wake County schools.
Today, Trump reversed his decision. He should've never withheld this congressionally-approved funding to begin with.
ICYMI: If you weren't able to watch my office's Virtual Veterans Resource Fair, a recording is now available on my YouTube channel!

Trump's efforts to slash FEMA funding that safeguards water systems and protects infrastructure against severe weather events puts North Carolinians at risk.
I applaud Attorney General Jeff Jackson for his efforts to restore this funding and protect our communities.

Parents, teachers, and students will suffer if Trump withholds this education funding.
I'll keep fighting alongside @foushee.house.gov to make sure NC students have the support they need.

It was great meeting with @bookharvest.bsky.social to discuss how Congress can support access to early literary resources for children. Book Harvest has provided more than 2.5 million books to families in NC and I’m proud to work alongside them to ensure children have the tools they need to succeed.
The climate crisis is one of the most pressing challenges of our lifetime, and I’m committed to fighting for policies that protect our environment for generations to come. (2/2)
I had the pleasure to meet with @citizensclimateiv.bsky.social to discuss the importance of wildlife resilience and the continued fight to protect our planet. (1/2)
7/30: My office is hosting a Virtual Medicaid Lunch & Learn from 12-1:00PM! Join us to learn more about the impacts of Trump’s Big, Ugly, Bill on Medicare and Medicaid.

It was great meeting with AnthropicAI co-founder Jack Clark to discuss AI’s economic effects and impact on workers.
New artificial intelligence technologies are emerging every day, and federal standards are needed now more than ever to support U.S.-led innovation and protect consumers.
Trump's withholding of @usedgov.bsky.social funds, including $8.1 million for Wake County, is disrupting hiring and reduces the capacity for educators to provide a quality education for students.
Today, @ross.house.gov and I wrote to the Secretary of Education urging the release of these funds.
The Congressional Budget Office confirms that the Big, Ugly Bill:
❌Strips healthcare from 10 million Americans.
❌Cuts food assistance for children and seniors.
❌Adds $3.4 trillion to the national debt.
It's shameful that the GOP continues to tout cuts that put billionaires over everyday Americans.
Trump's aid plan for Gaza doesn't work. Starving civilians are being met with gunfire at aid sites—it's inhumane and unacceptable.
I continue to call for a ceasefire to ensure the flow of aid to the region and safe return of the remaining hostages.

The #MA7 is leading the way in space exploration, astrophysics, & AI research.
Last week, @foushee.house.gov & I toured Cambridge Discovery Park, where the Center for Astrophysics is pushing the frontiers of knowledge in astronomy & astrophysics & bringing unparalleled innovation to Massachusetts.
I led a bipartisan letter as Ranking Member of the Space and Aeronautics Subcommittee with @beyer.house.gov, @moulton.house.gov and 61 of our colleagues denouncing these efforts and their devastating consequences for NASA. (2/2)
Actions to set in motion Trump's proposed FY26 cuts to NASA Science before Congress votes on a full-year budget are illegal and threaten U.S. leadership in space and scientific research. (1/2)

On today’s Democratic Daily Download, @repstansbury.bsky.social busts the myths behind Trump’s Big, Ugly law. The truth? It hikes your utility bills by $400 — just to hand out giveaways to billionaires and Big Oil CEOs.
I am proud to share that my office has now returned over $4 million to #NC04 residents through casework!
As always, if you’re experiencing issues with a federal agency, don’t hesitate to give my office a call at 919-967-7924.
Last night, Republicans passed Trump's rescissions package that makes devastating cuts to public aid and foreign assistance.
This bill hurts our communities here in NC and sets back efforts to fight deadly diseases worldwide. I proudly voted no, and will fight to restore this funding.
