Funding for educational programs that have changed the lives of students & families across NH are in peril under the Trump Admin.
Whether it’s in Congress or in our courts, I’ll never stop fighting to protect these relatively small investments that have extraordinary returns for our state.

I urge my colleagues in the Senate to quickly take up this common-sense, bipartisan legislation to deliver for veterans in New Hampshire and across America.
🚨🚨 JUST NOW: The House passed my bipartisan bill, the ASSIST Act, to cut the needless red tape that has prevented veterans like Gary Gordon of Concord — a fellow Navy veteran who served our country in Vietnam — from getting the medically-necessary equipment they need to travel safely.
Great to welcome students from across NH—including Groveton & Littleton—to our DC office to discuss issues that matter most to them—from protecting federal funding for public schools to tackling our mental health crisis. Our meeting left me with a familiar feeling: no one does democracy like NH. 🇺🇸
Today, Senator Maggie Hassan and I hosted an important conversation with education leaders from pre-K through college to discuss the critical role federal programs play in New Hampshire public schools. I will always stand up for public education and the people who make it possible. 🇺🇸
Education is the lifeblood and ultimate safeguard of American democracy. Here in New Hampshire, we are lucky to have dedicated educators in our public schools. But they can’t do their jobs without the support they need.
New Hampshire is facing a housing crisis. Prices are too high, and supply is far too low.
Proud to work with local organizations and advocates to find solutions and deliver for Granite Staters.
Honor. Integrity. Duty.
Today on #ArmedForcesDay, I hope you join me in thanking our brave servicemembers and their families.
My heart is with the families, friends, and colleagues of these heroes.
This morning, I joined NH’s law enforcement community and people from across our state to honor the 55 fallen officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
I’m grateful today and every day for NH’s brave law enforcement officers who dedicate their lives to keeping us all safe. 🇺🇸
NH is home to 85,000 veterans. We have an obligation to ensure these brave women & men can access the full range of health care they need.
I joined Rep. Pappas, Sen. Shaheen, & Sen. Hassan in calling on the VA to make good on their promise to expand services at the Manchester VA Medical Center.
Today in the House Committee on Small Business, I spoke to small business owners about the pernicious practice of “no poach agreements” and how the Trump Administration is hurting workers and our economy by tearing down backstops on these anti-competitive practices.
Great to start the day with the New England Council to discuss how we can work together to deliver for our region and our country. 🇺🇸
“Goodlander Challenges President Trump’s Unlawful, Chaotic Imposition of IEEPA Tariffs”
No one can weather a storm alone—& with support from orgs like @naminh.org, you don't have to.
During #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth, I sat down with NAMI NH’s Susan Stearns to discuss protecting the Medicaid funding that allows thousands of Granite Staters to get the treatment & medication they need.
Today, I was proud to bring the voices and priorities of Granite Staters to the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and to advocate for cutting bureaucratic red tape and protecting the federal funds that New Hampshire relies on.
Under the Constitution, Congress has the power to impose tariffs—not the President.
I will not stand idly by as the President usurps this power and uses it to jack up costs. That’s why my colleagues and I filed a brief in court challenging President Trump’s unlawful, chaotic, and costly tariffs.
During #NationalPoliceWeek, I hope you join me in thanking NH’s brave law enforcement officers.
Today, I spent time with the Concord Police Department, including Liberty, who serves in the K-9 Unit. Liberty is the first NH Comfort Dog to serve in a Police Department—she's a resource for the community, supporting people in crisis & making the legal process easier for kids & victims of violence.
