Today, we remember and honor the innocent lives lost 26 years ago today in the tragic mass shooting at Columbine High School. We’ll continue to hold their families in our hearts — always.
Be sure to watch this incredible 9NEWS segment from a few years back on the 40th anniversary of Colorado’s Continental Divide Trail, capturing our breathtaking public lands. You’ll see why it’s so important to preserve it for future generations by passing my bill to expand its protections!
Last week, I was excited to meet with Aadi of Boulder County at the U.S. Capitol, who won our 2025 Congressional App Challenge. Drawing from his family's experience with the Marshall Fire, he built an app that notifies folks of areas at risk of wildfires. Well done Aadi!
Absolutely reckless and dangerous. "But ongoing cuts, funding freezes, and hiring pauses have weakened the nation’s already strained firefighting force by hitting support staff who play crucial roles in preventing and battling blazes."
As the lead Democrat on the House Subcommittee on Federal Lands, I’m deeply concerned about President Trump's recently issued Executive Order on timber production, which ignores key wildfire mitigation and ecological protections. We’re pushing back. 👇🏾
President Trump's tariff tax has forced Colorado’s small businesses to scramble for a new way forward. Earlier this week, I met with business leaders at the Boulder Chamber to hear firsthand about the challenges they’re facing and how we can work together to support them.
A busy few days earlier this week visiting with so many folks across Colorado’s 2nd District — from town halls to small business roundtables and more! 👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽
DOGE recently slated multiple federal agency leases across Colorado for cancellation, including a critical facility in Fort Collins that monitors wildfire activity in our national forests — and we are pushing back!
Communities on Colorado’s Western Slope have felt the real consequences of post office closures, staffing shortages & delayed mail. Proud to join @bennet.senate.gov & Senator Hickenlooper in demanding that USPS ensure “DOGE” does not wreak havoc on mail delivery in rural Colorado.
The family farms and rural communities across Western & Northern Colorado that I’m honored to represent will be devastated by Trump’s trade war. It is time for Republicans in Congress to join us & end the chaos.
Grateful for the opportunity to speak with students at Fairview High School in Boulder during our student town hall — and appreciated their thoughtful questions!

Serving your community means showing up in EVERY community. That’s why I’ve held 100 town halls over the past few years across Northern & Western Colorado — from Granby to Fort Collins. Republicans should do the same — and stop hiding from their constituents!
“If one man can be allowed to determine for himself what is law, every man can. That means first chaos, then tyranny.” Justice Frankfurter’s words ring true. The President’s actions are an affront to the rule of law. He must follow the Supreme Court’s order — period. apnews.com/live/donald-...
From strengthening drought preparedness to supporting rural schools & overhauling disaster response—I'm proud of the real results we’ve delivered for the people of Colorado. Grateful our office was named the most effective in Colorado’s House Delegation!

Members of Congress shouldn’t be trading stocks. Period. Full stop. The Speaker must take action to ensure all member trades during Trump’s tariff chaos over the last week are disclosed IMMEDIATELY. And put our legislation to ban stock-trading on the House Floor for a vote!
Grateful to all who attended our Boulder County town hall with @senatorben.bsky.social yesterday!
At our town hall with Representative Neguse in Boulder, we spoke with Coloradans about everything from building a strong economy to fighting back against the Trump Administration. I’m grateful to all who showed up to have their voices heard.
