For the past 20 years, Ruben Torres Maldonado has been a painter in Chicago. Ruben's been working weekends to support his family, including his 16-year-old daughter, Ofelia — a Lake View High School student fighting Stage 4 cancer. That is until ICE detained him this weekend at a Home Depot.
