The Trump administration just cancelled plans to create a vaccine against the bird flu. This disease kills our animals, makes eggs more expensive, and could harm humans. Trump wants chaos, not solutions.

BREAKING: Asked about Medicaid and SNAP cuts killing people, Joni Ernst replied: “Well we all are going to die.” This is the Republican health care agenda: indifference to the lives of working families. We won’t stop fighting for care. #SaveMedicaid
Thank you to everyone who attended our Senior Resource Fair this morning! We shared the different services government offices and local organizations offer. We even had time for a little ping pong. My game could use some work!
Our Senior Community Resource Fair is happening NOW in Des Plaines! Come stop by—we’ll be here till 12:30!
Every year, I hold two Senior Resource Fairs in my district to help connect seniors with services that can help them. My first senior fair of 2025 will be held on May 29 at Firsbie Senior Center in Des Plaines. No RSVP is necessary, so mark your calendars now!
Great meeting with the Village of Mount Prospect team. We checked in on the construction of the Melas-Meadows Pedestrian Bridge—which my office was proud to help secure over $517,000 for last year!
Palestinians are in desperate need of widespread humanitarian aid. I pressed Trump’s Secretary of State Marco Rubio on how we’re getting aid to Gaza and if there are benchmarks for Israel if they don’t allow it. @democrats-appropriations.house.gov
We’re never going to learn from our mistakes if we don’t first acknowledge them. Democrats lost the public’s trust in recent years. I’m hoping we can get it back.
Over the weekend, Putin launched an unprecedented number of missiles and drones across Ukraine, indiscriminately targeting civilians and military forces alike. If Trump truly wants peace, he must hold Putin and Russia accountable for this unprovoked brutality and force Putin to the negotiating table
Ignoring expert analysis, RFK Jr. just reversed CDC guidelines that previously recommended children and pregnant women get the COVID vaccine. The Trump administration continues to reject established science in favor of ideological opinion.
Over 90% of Russia’s attacks have targeted civilians in Ukraine. Putin doesn't understand strongly worded tweets—he understands action. POTUS, it's time to stop posting, and actually do something to stop the Kremlin.
On Memorial Day, we remember the brave Americans who served and died for our country. I'll never stop fighting to ensure our service members and veterans are protected and respected🇺🇸
Between 2015 and 2019, 30 individual animals a day were trafficked across the country. My bipartisan bill, the Wildlife Confiscations Network Act, will end that practice and support law enforcement in confiscation efforts.
I'm at Center on Halsted this morning answering questions about Trump's attacks on the LGBTQ+ community. Nora Huppert from ‪@lambdalegal.org‬ and I will discuss litigation against the administration and how we can all help protect our neighbors. Watch at 9 am: www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Y8W...
From passing gun violence legislation to clean energy reform, President Biden accomplished great things while in office. But after seeing him later in his term, I had to stand up and say something.
