Trump and Republicans in Congress want to make massive cuts to Medicaid.
Eric from Austin has muscular dystrophy and called my office to share what Medicaid cuts could mean to him.
Here's what I said when I called him back:

Donald Trump and Elon Musk are destroying Social Security.
Phone lines are overwhelmed. The offices are understaffed. The website has crashed four times. Experts are saying the system is at risk of collapsing.
Trump and Musk’s solution? Lay off thousands of more workers.
WATCH: I joined Hasan Piker's stream to talk about Trump's corruption, tariffs, and the path forward for Democrats. www.youtube.com/watch?v=31XL...
While Elon Musk makes $8 million a day off government contracts, he's firing Social Security workers so seniors have to travel in person and wait 4 hours to get help when the government mistakenly declares them "dead" and cuts off their benefits.
Save Social Security. Fire Elon Musk.
APPLY NOW: We're looking for paid interns to join our San Antonio and Austin teams this summer! ☀️

Donald Trump announced his most dangerous attack yet on the rights of American workers.
Last week's executive order fundamentally undercuts the labor rights Americans have counted on for 100 years.
But Trump won't stop at federal workers. Your right to organize is next.
They’re feeling the pressure.
Keep up the fight to Fire Elon Musk.
Trump and Musk are firing nuclear safety experts.
They’re willing to put us all at risk to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.
Fire Elon Musk.
Our children’s education is more important than tax cuts for billionaires.
We must do everything we can to save the Department of Education.
Over 300 Texans have gotten measles since January.
So why would Trump and Musk cut funding for fighting infectious diseases?
Because Donald Trump and Elon Musk want to give that money away in tax cuts for billionaires.

Trump’s “DESTROY ALL LABOR UNIONS” executive order from last night must be stopped, rescinded, and buried deep in the ground.
Even if a judge blocks it temporarily, we must not stop fighting it with full force until it is gone for good.
You can understand a lot of what is happening in the White House with just four words:
Trump lies. Musk steals.
House Republicans on the DOGE committee held a hearing to investigate and defund NPR and PBS.
Instead we need to have a hearing to investigate Trump trying to funnel $400 million to Elon Musk's companies then lying about it.
What’s happening to Social Security is the biggest story of the day:
☎️ Phone lines are overwhelmed & understaffed.
🖥️ Website has crashed four times in 10 days this month.
➡️ Staff are resigning, getting fired, or being pushed out in waves.
Donald Trump & Elon Musk are destroying Social Security.
Trump says the phone lines seniors use to get their Social Security checks have to be shut down for security reasons, but his staff is planning bombing campaigns over text message.
