Patients & their families are fed up with the health insurance red tape.
It delays care & puts lives at risk. I’m fighting to fix our system so people can get the care they need, when they need it.

Republicans will go to any length to keep the truth from Americans.
Speaker Johnson shut down the House floor just to block a vote on releasing the Jeffrey Epstein files. They’re doing Trump’s bidding & protecting the powerful & well-connected from transparency.
Trump wants to gut housing assistance that could kick 1.4 million families out of their homes. That puts people like Havalah, a Woodinville mom, who works hard to support her family, at risk of losing the stability they’ve fought for.

Americans deserve truth & transparency from their government. Instead, we’ve seen broken promises & excuses. It’s time for real accountability!
She’s here today because of Apple Health. Stories like Dawn’s are why I’m fighting to protect Medicaid & ensure every Washingtonian can get the care they need.
Don’t let an expired passport prevent you from enjoying your vacation!
On July 24, my office is hosting a passport event at the Mill Creek Passport Office for residents of WA-01.

Trump promised to help working families. But the reality? Prices are up, consumer confidence is down, & health care is being ripped away from millions.
Trump said he’d lower costs. He lied. Now Republicans are celebrating a law that rips away health care & jacks up prices to pay for tax handouts for the wealthiest.
Trump & Republicans are only focused on protecting the wealthy. In just the past few months, they:
❌ Passed a massive tax break for the rich
❌ Made it easier for wealthy tax cheats to not pay their fair share
❌ Cut consumer protections around financial scams
❌ Refused to release the Epstein files
I stand with workers & unions. That’s why I support @golden.house.gov effort to force a vote to overturn Trump’s union-busting executive order that stripped collective bargaining rights from over 1 million federal employees.
Public broadcast stations are often how people — especially in rural communities — find out about natural disasters & emergencies. In WA, fires, floods, & landslides are becoming increasingly frequent.
Cutting this funding will needlessly put lives at risk from these disasters.
Republicans JUST voted to cut funding for public broadcast stations in WA & across the country. I voted NO because these cuts would hurt children’s education & communities’ safety.
The president’s chaotic economic policies are raising prices & hurting growth across the nation.
Investments in medical research save lives & give families new hope.
A former family doctor & I discussed how Trump’s cuts to medical research threaten future medical breakthroughs & the health of everyone.
ICE recently got access to taxpayer data at the IRS & now they’re into the Medicaid database.
This is an outrageous breach of the very sensitive financial, health, & personal data of millions of people.
Americans deserve answers on how the government is exploiting their data.
Hardworking Americans are expected to pay $2,400 more this year because of Trump’s reckless tariffs. Families can’t afford this economic uncertainty. Congress could stop this chaos at any point, but Republicans refuse to stand up to Trump.
Trump’s megabill will change student loan repayment. Starting 7/2026, new borrowers lose access to affordable plans & get just 2 options, with longer repayment timelines & more interest. Starting 7/2028, borrowers on existing plans will see their plans change & their monthly repayment cost increase.

NWS is forecasting dangerously high temps across parts of WA this week. #Heat advisories are issued for several counties statewide, with dangerously high temps during the day and overnight, and close to 100-degree highs expected Wednesday.

Donald Trump promised he’d lower prices, but his tariffs & the economic uncertainty he creates is making life more expensive for hard working Americans.

I spoke with Dr. Teplow, Medical Director at Sea Mar Monroe, about how the Medicaid cuts Trump signed into law could impact access to care.
If providers can’t keep up with increased need and rising costs, they may be forced to close their doors—hurting patients & entire communities.
