Trump and Republicans want to add $2.4 TRILLION to the debt so they can give billionaires a tax cut.
The new Seattle Waterfront and Overlook Walk are open and ready for summer!
I was proud to secure $750,000 in federal funding to help bring this project to life, and it’s wonderful to see the impact it’s already having in our city.

Trump is putting people in power who have no idea what they’re doing. It is going to get Americans killed. www.nytimes.com/2025/06/02/u...
Why are Trump and Republicans gutting Medicaid and SNAP, selling off our public lands, and slashing clean energy investments?
So they can give a massive tax cut to billionaires.
Proud to stand up and fight back with @sunrisemvmt.bsky.social.
ICE has zero accountability and is continuing to deport people without due process — and in this case, even forging a man’s signature, according to his attorney.
This administration is completely lawless.

Back in February, when the Budget Committee first considered Republicans’ bad budget bill, I introduced a simple amendment to block the huge cuts to Medicaid in the legislation.
Every single Republican voted NO. They knew exactly what they were doing — cutting Medicaid.
Trump, Musk, and Republicans’ efforts to dismantle our Social Security means families have to wonder how they will pay for loved ones' housing.
People pay into Social Security their ENTIRE lives — and it needs to be there for us when we retire.
ICYMI: I grilled Marco Rubio on the administration’s kidnapping and attempted visa revocation of Rümeysa Öztürk over an op-ed she wrote.
There’s no footnote in the Constitution that says Secretary Rubio gets to override the First Amendment — I checked.
ICYMI: I conducted an oversight visit at the Northwest Detention Center with @repemilyrandall.bsky.social and @repdexteror.bsky.social.
As Trump kidnaps and disappears immigrants, we're investigating conditions at this ICE facility and others across the country. www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news...
Violence is never the way to peace. My heart goes out to the families affected by the horrific attack on Pearl Street Mall, as well as to Jewish Americans across the country who are afraid in the wake of these hateful attacks. Antisemitism has no place in this country. Period.
Immigrants aren’t taking away your health care. Billionaires are.
Public school teachers aren’t cutting your food stamps. Billionaires are.
Trans kids aren’t cheating the system to make themselves richer. Billionaires are.
HAPPY PRIDE!!! 🏳️🌈
As Trump and Republicans advance anti-LGBTQIA+ policies across the country, during Pride Month, we will celebrate our LGBTQIA+ community, lift up their stories and voices, and continue to fight for their rights — together.
At PICA-WA, she helps shape their vision for the thriving of Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander people in our district and across Washington State. I am truly grateful for Sili and her tireless work in supporting the well-being of our communities!
Sili has been a community leader for decades, working on state policy, building cross-cultural coalitions, and educating others on anti-racist organizing within institutions.
As #AANHPIHeritageMonth comes to a close, I want to acknowledge another incredible leader in our district: Sili Savusa, the Executive Director of the Pacific Islander Community Association!
When authoritarians go around Congress, ignore the courts, and try to impose their unlawful policies on all of us, we must stand up and fight back.
We the people will use our collective power to protect democracy.
Trump wants to cut off a four-year-old girl’s life-saving medical treatment so that he can deport her. It’s beyond cruel.
How does this make America better?

As immigrants are being kidnapped, disappeared off the streets by masked men — it is more important than ever that we conduct oversight of the detention centers where they’re being held.
Stay tuned for updates.
Here at the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma to conduct oversight — a duty we have as members of Congress. We will keep you posted.
At my town hall, constituents were worried about cuts to research happening in our district and how that will impact our ability to innovate and cure diseases.
I'll continue fighting to ensure our research facilities get full funding and are able to do their life-saving work.
