Thank you for the warm welcome Mayor Yagelski, Rep. Hoops, and local leaders in Montpelier, Williams County! Dedication and opening of Founders Park and Iron Horse River Trail is a testament to the type of partnership that move communities forward.
Good luck to both the University of Toledo Rockets and the Bowling Green State University Falcons in this weekend’s Battle of I-75! This fierce rivalry brings our communities together, and I can’t wait to see who comes out on top!
Great to be back at North Star BlueScope Steel’s manufacturing facilities in Delta, Ohio. The impact of their major investments in NW Ohio make a difference for our workers, creating good paying jobs for our communities. What America makes and grows, makes and grows America.
Women-owned small businesses bring innovation and ingenuity to making our communities better. This month we celebrate and support these industrious entrepreneurs driving economic growth in NW Ohio and across our nation—inspiring the next generation of leaders!
Great to join Penta Career Center for the opening of their new facility in Holland, and present them with an American flag flown over our United States Capitol.
Celebrating groundbreaking for Collingwood Green V, a new $29 Milllion, 75 unit senior living facility in Toledo’s Junction neighborhood. As a trained urban planner, I know how important affordable housing can be for our community.
Mobile Meals of Toledo is more than just a meal delivery service. They deliver independence, dignity, and hope to those who need it most. Every day, over 250 dedicated volunteers bring nutritious meals to nearly 2,000 homebound individuals across our community.
Great to host my dear friend Representative James Clyburn today for a community conversation at Jera's Heavenly Sweet in Toledo. By working together we can continue to build our economy from the bottom up and middle out so that it works for all of our communities across NW Ohio.
Beautiful fall day to see the University of Toledo Medical Center’s new mobile medical unit in action at Sanger Library! This brand new unit purchased with $500,000 in federal support I helped secure is helping bring care to those who need it most across NW Ohio.
Inspiring young minds at work as I visited Sylvania Northview Wildcats Volleyball players this week. These are remarkable young women. I look forward to seeing how far they all will go. Best of luck with the rest of your season, ladies.
At Commons at Gardens Lake we honored 22 veterans with an annual pinning ceremony. I championed this new community in partnership with National Church Residences to exclusively serve homeless and disabled veterans by providing critical housing for those in need across NW Ohio.

52 years ago, the #CleanWaterAct was signed into law—transforming the health of our Great Lakes and watersheds in NW Ohio and across the nation. Clean water is essential to our families, farmers, and future. Let’s keep fighting to protect and preserve it for generations to come!
I led 63 colleagues in demanding Speaker Johnson bring the House back into session to vote on disaster relief funding. Now the SBA has exhausted its funds and paused all new loan offers for disaster survivors—we cannot delay relief to struggling Americans who desperately need it.
Great to host Congressman Steny Hoyer for a tour of the newly completed Ashley Courthouse Annex led by Judge Jeffrey Helmick. This $104 Million project in the heart of downtown Toledo and our Civic Center Mall stands as testament to the rule of law and what we accomplish working together.
I introduced this bipartisan bill that recognizes the sacrifice of Gold Star spouses by expanding their healthcare benefits. We owe so much to those who answered the call to service and perished in defense of our nation and must ensure we take care of their surviving spouses.
We are currently accepting applications for the Spring 2025 internship cohort in our DC Office. Looking for hardworking, bright individuals that want to gain invaluable experience working in public service—apply by October 31st! You can find more info at: kaptur.house.gov/services/internships

Northern Lights over the new Kaptur-Rogowski House in Sandusky, Erie County
Breathtaking view 420 feet up at the new $1 Billion Cleveland-Cliffs clean hydrogen-ready steel facility. As a longstanding Member of the House Steel Caucus, I know we must rebuild strength at home—not cede markets to Chinese steel. What America makes and grows, makes and grows America!
