It’s day three of the Republican Shutdown.
That means today’s magic number is three because Republicans control the White House, the House, and Senate. If they want to end the shutdown, that’s on them.
Russ Vought is illegally stealing money from Californians.
This was Trump and Republicans' plan all along: shut down the government to create an excuse to steal from the American people.
But the Constitution is on our side—we'll fight to get this money back.
It’s day two of the Trump government shutdown.
And today’s number is two — because if Trump and Republicans keep refusing to work with Democrats to protect health care, your Affordable Care Act premiums could double.
Still need proof a shutdown was always Trump’s plan?
Americans don’t want soaring health costs, lost jobs, or disrupted services.
For Trump, a shutdown is just an excuse to keep dismantling the government and gutting the programs people rely on.
Wishing all those observing Yom Kippur in Los Angeles and across the world a meaningful fast and day of reflection.
G’mar chatima tovah—may you be sealed in the Book of Life.
It’s day one of the Trump government shutdown.
Trump and Republicans shut down the government to double your health care premiums. Pass it on.
I'm riding with @housedemocrats.bsky.social & the Congressional Black Caucus.
We're willing to go to the end for the American people to protect health care—because we're just as tired as Trump's BS as you.
My statement on the Republican shutdown.
As the Trump-Republican shutdown takes effect at midnight, I’ll be live with @repyvetteclarke.bsky.social , @meeks.house.gov, and @amo.house.gov to discuss how we got here—and what it means for our communities. Tune in.

American citizens aren't the enemy, and our cities aren't a "training ground" for troops. LA knows the terror that Trump's authoritarian tactics cause, and they could come to your city soon.
American cities & our troops deserve better than to be used as props for Trump's stunts.
Trump and Republicans are shutting the government down at midnight because they think saving your health care is "unserious and ridiculous."
If Republicans want to shut their own government down, that's on them—I'm in the fight for you.
Congresswoman Jayapal, a longtime advocate, organizer, and leading progressive voice, has always preached nonviolence.
The Arizona lawmaker's comments aren't just despicable—they're antithetical to everything she stands for. The violent & hateful rhetoric must end.
Trump is illegally withholding Congressionally-designated funds from the State Department for exchange programs that are essential to our diplomatic relationships.
As Ranking Member of the Subcommittee focused on public diplomacy, @repjohnnyo.bsky.social & I called on Trump to release the funds.
I got my start in public service on the LA community college board—I know that too many students struggle to afford school and rely on lifelines like Medicaid & SNAP.
Proud to bring together local leaders to discuss how we can support students through Trump's devastating cuts.
🚨Trump just made it harder to get your tax refund by eliminating paper checks.
He doesn’t care about working-class Americans who hustle and pay their fair share.
If you live in CA-37, contact us to learn about your tax refund options—you deserve better.
The Trump Administration is taking health care away from 17 million Americans to pay for billionaire tax cuts.
But apparently, they have $20 billion lying around to bail out a Trump wannabe in Argentina who is also tanking his own country's economy. So much for "America First.”
Trump ordered the Justice Department to manufacture charges so fake they had to hire a new, unqualified U.S. attorney to carry them out. This isn't a prosecution—it's persecution.
Now, Trump says he won't stop there. If they can go after the former FBI Director, they can go after you.
Sunlight is the best disinfectant. If Tom Homan did nothing wrong, then the DOJ should have no issue releasing the tapes.
Otherwise, it smells like another cover-up from this corrupt administration to me.
