I recently met with the Consulate General of India, New York, Ambassador Binaya Pradhan and other officials. We discussed the Iran war, its regional impact, and strengthening the U.S.–India relationship. We also emphasized the importance of continuing dialogue on this issue.
Trump's attempt to terminate TPS would be life-threatening for the 350,000+ Haitian nationals in our country and the communities they support. That's why House Democrats fought back and won the vote to extend TPS with bipartisan support. Now it's time for the Senate to act.

Remember when Trump promised that he would increase your tax refund by over $1,000? Another lie. It's #TaxDay and instead of being able to pocket your tax refunds, you'll need them to pay for more expensive gas, food, and rent.
The U.S. has the highest rate of maternal deaths than any other developed country, and for Black women, it's even worse. With greater investment in research and care, we can change outcomes and save lives. That's why I proudly cosponsor the Momnibus Act to help close this gap.
I’m extending my deepest condolences to the family of former Congressman Eliot Engel.

Trump's budget sets aside $350 billion for a war of choice in Iran, but does nothing to lower health care costs for the American people? That's enough to expand ACA tax credits for 20+ million Americans.
America deserves better.
Congress—regardless of party—has a duty to hold the president accountable.
Yet, Republicans remain silent on war, on dead American citizens, on rising costs, and on historic cuts to health care and SNAP. Is this what “Make America Great Again” meant?
Happy Easter to everyone in #NY05. I am wishing you and your family a joyous and blessed day. May this season of renewal bring peace to your homes and to communities across the district.
Trump doesn’t think Americans need child care, healthcare, or housing, and would rather spend billions from taxpayers’ pockets on his war of choice with Iran.
This budget puts America LAST.
You deserve better!
I wish a peaceful Good Friday to all who observe this holy day. I hope today is filled with gratitude, community, and reflection with the people you hold close. #NY05
Pam Bondi’s legacy is one of cover ups, corruption, and chaos. Real changes are needed at the DOJ to rebuild trust and accountability. Democrats will continue fighting back in the courts, Congress, and our communities to protect the rights of Americans

I visited Veterans' food pantries in #NY05 and met volunteers helping families fight rising food costs. Meanwhile, Republicans in Congress are pushing cuts to food assistance programs like SNAP. We should be helping families put food on the table not making it harder. #VFWPost5298 #AmericanLegion483
One year after Trump’s so-called ‘Liberation Day,’ and the only thing people have been liberated from is their hard-earned money. America is more expensive than ever and Republicans do not care.
Democrats are fighting to lower costs because we know You Deserve Better.
Our Haitian neighbors are business owners and faith leaders who are essential to our communities. I am proud to support @ayannapressley.bsky.social‘s discharge petition, which will bring a vote to the House floor to extend TPS for Haitians.
🚨House Republicans caved.
Democrats never wavered.
America wins.

I’m proud to have secured over $1 million in federal funding to improve STEM education for K-12 students across New York. Funding our schools and supporting our teachers allows students to gain the tools and opportunities they need to succeed. qns.com/2026/04/1-mi...
Have you been wondering why gas prices are higher?
It's because Trump's war of choice with Iran is costing Americans more at the pump each day with no end in sight. Life is only getting more expensive under Republican leadership. youtu.be/GgisIAdCbnc
We have a bipartisan bill to end the longest shutdown in U.S. history, but House Republicans rejected it and then left town for a 2-week vacation.
You deserve better.

Last night, House Republicans voted to prolong this shutdown by advancing a CR that has no path in the Senate.
It’s time for House Republicans to stop holding TSA employees and air travelers hostage to their extreme immigration plan. We need to pass the bipartisan bill now.
