While Senate Republicans take a victory lap, real people will pay the price.
I will never back down from this fight. I will emphatically vote NO on the Big Ugly Bill.

Republicans are cheering nearly $1 trillion in cuts to Medicaid—but every dollar slashed means real human suffering.
A senior forced out of a nursing home.
A pregnant mom losing care for miles around.
A veteran denied mental health support.
A child with a disability left behind.
Today, Senate Republicans shamelessly passed their Big Ugly Bill. As House Republicans push toward a final vote, I want you all to know where I stand.
This bill is a disaster for America’s future, for the most vulnerable, and our environment. I’ll do everything in my power to stop this cruelty.
With abortion bans already in 19 states, “defunding” Planned Parenthood would mean longer wait times, farther travel, and devastating delays for people seeking essential care. We cannot let this happen – access to reproductive health care is on the line. [2/2]
The Big Ugly Bill threatens to defund Planned Parenthood, putting nearly 200 health centers in 24 states at risk of closure. That’s 1 in 4 abortion providers nationwide, and half of all Planned Parenthood centers that provide abortion care. [1/2]
Congressional Republicans are choosing to callously ignore the facts, but we must continue to make our voices loud. We will keep fighting back against this disaster of a bill. [2/2]
The Big Ugly Bill will rip away health care from 17 million Americans. That’s children with disabilities, cancer patients, seniors in nursing homes, and working families. Hospitals will shutter. Ambulances will be pulled off the streets. [1/2]
But this is not over. House Democrats will fight with everything we have to stop it.
Keep exposing the truth – this bill is stealing from the poor to give to the rich. [2/2]
Every Republican vote for the Big Ugly Bill is a betrayal of the people they are sworn to represent. And they know it. That’s why Senate Republicans just jammed it through. That’s why House Republicans are frantically moving forward now. [1/2]
Handouts for Big Oil while killing clean energy projects will drive up electricity prices for everyone and cost thousands of good-paying jobs. All to give the Donald Trump and his rich friends another tax break. [2/2]
Hardworking families across the nation are already facing high energy costs – and the Big Ugly Bill is going to make it way, way worse. [1/2]
Americans can’t stand the Big Ugly Bill. They know it ‘s disastrous. It adds trillions to our national debt, shutters rural hospitals, and forces kids to go hungry.
Republicans need to stop bending the knee to Donald Trump and stand up for their constituents.
We need to keep exposing the truth.
The Big Ugly Bill is:
➡️The largest cut to Medicaid in American history
➡️The largest cut to food assistance in American history
➡️The largest transfer of wealth from the working class to the rich in American history
It’s sickening. We will not stand for it.
This is self-destructive sabotage, driven by Republicans' irrational and ideological hatred of clean energy. Our clean energy future is here and now, but Republicans insist on clinging onto the past, and they’re making the American people pay for it.
Senate Republicans’ Big Ugly Bill will kill the clean, affordable energy needed to power America’s future. It doubles down on giveaways to costly, dirty fossil fuels while putting new taxes on clean energy, increasing energy costs, killing good-paying jobs, and making our grid less reliable.
This won’t just be in Sacramento, it will be disastrous nationwide.
Congressional Republicans have made it clear, this isn’t about you. It’s about enriching billionaires and keeping Donald Trump off their back. This is shameful cowardice.
Senate Republicans are desperately trying to jam through their new version of the “Big Ugly Bill” as fast as possible.
The impact will be devastating. Vulnerable Americans will lose their Medicaid coverage and children will go hungry.
Justices Jackson, Sotomayor, and Kagan's dissent is spot on: Medicaid patients have the right to choose their health care providers. I'll continue to fight back against these attacks on reproductive care and overall health access. [3/3]
While Californians can still seek care at Planned Parenthood, this decision could have major repercussions for the millions of patients who use Planned Parenthood across the country.
This decision made it clear — conservatives want to control you and your personal health care decisions. [2/3]
Today, the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 against Planned Parenthood in the case Medina v. Planned Parenthood South Atlantic, stripping South Carolina Medicaid patients of their right to access health care at Planned Parenthood facilities. [1/3]
