Today marks four years since 98 people lost their lives in the Surfside condominium collapse in Florida. We mourn the lives lost on that day, and we must work to ensure no community has to suffer such a tragedy again.
Congrats to my friend and colleague Robert Garcia on his election to lead @oversightdemocrats.house.gov as Ranking Member. I had the pleasure of serving with him on this Committee last Congress, and I know he’ll be the voice inside Chairman Comer’s head when I can’t be.
It’s been 3 years since the Supreme Court ripped away access to reproductive health care for millions of women in their Dobbs decision, and the fallout has been horrific.
I will always stand for the right to make personal health care decisions and fight to codify that into law.
I had a great meeting with the Florida Health Care Association, which represents 600+ nursing centers in our state. In Congress, I will always oppose cuts to Medicaid, which would threaten long-term care facilities and the health care of hundreds of thousands of Floridians.
These indiscriminate tariffs have been terrible for small businesses, leading many to reduce staff hours and delay products. I met with some small businesses owners to discuss these challenges and how we can boost American manufacturing without a self-sabotaging trade war.
Today’s the last day for our wonderful class of the first group of summer interns. Thanks so much to Riana, Arnav, Emilia, and Presley for all your hard work these past few weeks taking care of business for Broward and Palm Beach Counties!
This Juneteenth marks 160 years since enslaved Black Americans in Galveston, TX learned of their emancipation, marking the end of slavery in the US. Today reminds us both how far we’ve come and how much more there is to do in our nation’s promise of liberty and justice for all.
Thank you to Ambassador Youssef Amrani for meeting with me to discuss the U.S. and Morocco’s shared economic and security interests and how we can further strengthen our nations’ strong relationship. 🇲🇦🇺🇸

I had the honor to meet with nine outstanding students I nominated who will be attending one of our nation’s service academies this fall. These Floridians embody the perseverance and leadership that will help them on their journey to becoming officers in our armed forces.
BACK-TO-BACK STANLEY CUP CHAMPS!!!
Congrats to the Florida Panthers on your hard-earned victory. The cup stays in South Florida! 🏆
I had a great meeting with Floridians from the @iamunion.bsky.social, which represents hundreds of thousands of skilled workers across the country. Union workers have my word that I’ll always stand up for safe working conditions and collective bargaining rights in Congress.
Happy Pride Month to Floridians across our district! 🏳️🌈
I’m proud to support the LGBTQ+ community, fight in Congress for the rights and protections they deserve, and celebrate their many contributions to our community and our country.
I just got some exciting news this morning: my office has now recovered more than $20 million for the people of Broward and Palm Beach Counties! Each day, we’re working for #FL23 and bringing your hard-earned dollars back to our district.
Happy #FathersDay to my fellow dads! I hope everyone has a great day with the ones they love.
I’m deeply disturbed by the shootings of two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses last night in their own homes. What happened to Rep. Hortman, Sen. Hoffman, and their spouses is tragic. Political violence is unacceptable, and we must do all we can to keep those who serve safe.
Congratulations to Maya Todorov of Boca Raton, whose artwork was selected as the winner of our 2025 Congressional Art Competition. She’s incredibly talented, and it was great to meet up with her this week to see her piece, Maestro, on display in the U.S. Capitol! #CAC
The way Senator Padilla was handled by officials at Secretary Noem’s press conference is unacceptable. This treatment of a sitting senator is a disturbing infringement on checks and balances and constitutional norms.
It’s been 9 years since the shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, an attack on the LGBTQ+ community that killed 49 innocent people. From Parkland to Pulse, we mourn all those lost to senseless gun violence, and we must continue fighting for a future free from it.
Restoring the Everglades is critical for South Florida’s drinking water, tourism industry, and disaster resilience. I’m proud to support federal investments in restoration and had the pleasure of discussing that this week at America’s Everglades Summit.
