You may have heard an outlandish claim that we want your tax dollars to go to healthcare for “illegal aliens.” The truth: it’s bullsh*t. Watch this video to get the facts.
I'm cautiously hoping that this will be the time a peace deal holds. We've seen false starts before, so I'm warily optimistic. However, it's important to stop the bombing, to release the hostages, and to rebuild and deliver urgently needed aid to Gaza.
COURT WIN! Last week, a Trump-appointed federal judge blocked the Trump administration from slashing $233 million in counterterrorism grants for Democrat-led states. It’s outrageous that he would literally try to defund the police in blue states.
Congressional Republicans are refusing to extend the expiring Affordable Care Act tax credits. @americanprogress.bsky.social estimates that Wisconsinites’ healthcare premiums will increase by 148% on average if they expire. Today, Wisconsin legislators helped me get that message out there!
Why is everything getting so damn expensive? One major reason: corporate monopolies are squeezing consumers. This week on my podcast, I’m joined by Barry Lynn of Open Markets Institute to dig into how corporate greed and consolidation drive up costs. youtu.be/qmMzA1Ovqqc
I’ll be holding a press conference with @sensmithwi.bsky.social, State Rep. Ryan Spaude, and Wisconsinites who will see their 2026 health insurance premiums skyrocket due to Congressional Republicans' refusal to extend the expiring ACA credits. Tune in today on Instagram live at 12:00pm CT.
This is an Orwellian effort to criminalize Americans' beliefs and speech. We must ensure people understand that their rights and freedoms are at risk. (3/3)
It lets Trump and Stephen Miller interpret anything they deem as “anti-American”, “anti-Christianity”, or “anti-capitalist” as politically violent and orders the FBI and law enforcement to investigate and "disrupt" groups or individuals they don't like. (2/3)
We should be yelling about this from the rooftops! Trump issued a presidential memorandum outlining plans for crackdowns on free speech that he doesn’t like, called “NSPM-7.” (1/3)

Folks should never have to choose between life-saving healthcare and keeping a roof over their heads. At a time when too many are feeling the pressure of rising costs, Trump's budget threatens to make healthcare significantly more expensive for thousands of Wisconsinites.
Under Trump's proposed budget, the average healthcare premium will increase by 148% for thousands of Wisconsinites
📃Epstein Files – Johnson is refusing to swear in Rep.-Elect Grijalva, who would be the 218th signature to force a vote on releasing the Epstein Files. The House should be in session, not on vacation! (3/3)
💵 Negotiating full year appropriations bills that aren’t stacked with partisan riders and harmful cuts, and could actually become law. 🐄 Farm Bill – overdue by TWO years. (2/3)
In the middle of a government shutdown, Speaker Johnson canceled votes and told his members not to bother coming back to DC. Here’s just a couple of the important issues we should be in DC working on: ⚕️ Extending the ACA tax credits and ending the GOP shutdown. (1/3)
My Republican colleagues want to see the Affordable Care Act subsidies expire, raising healthcare costs for just about everyone. I believe that every American deserves healthcare they can afford. This is what we are fighting for.
