I saw firsthand the training our union apprentices receive for sheet metal & electrical trades. Sheet Metal Local 16 SMART & IBEW 48 Electrical Workers Training Center emphasized safety & excellence at every step.
Congress should be creating more good-paying union jobs, not cutting projects.

Today is Equal Pay Day—marking how far into 2026 women must work to earn what men were paid in 2025.
When women are paid fairly, they can reach their potential and our entire economy benefits.
Women deserve equal pay NOW. The DWC will keep fighting.
I will be hosting a seniors’ issues discussion in #Salem next Thursday, April 2, 2026!
Join me at Center 50+ to talk about the issues that matter most to you and the solutions you’re hoping to see.

Visited Cherriots in Salem to deliver $3,000,000 in funding to help build the South Salem Transit Center.
I also toured a facility, checked out the electric fleet, and even took one of their buses for a spin!
We’re investing in clean, reliable, and affordable transit for working Oregon families.
12,300 Oregonians could die unnecessarily — all because Republicans cut $187 billion from SNAP to fund tax breaks for their billionaire buddies.
Republicans knew the cost of these cuts. They still voted yes.
The largest cuts to SNAP in history will likely lead to worse health outcomes for low-income families and preventable deaths across the country, and the law’s rushed implementation timeline will only worsen these effects. https://ampr.gs/4lAwfEi

The verdict is in, and it confirms what we’ve known all along: social media can lead to mental distress for children.
As co-chair of the Mental Health Caucus, I won’t stop fighting to protect our children’s wellbeing.
The Trump Admin is letting America’s beloved trails fall into disrepair. Last year, the total miles of trails maintained by the Forest Service fell by 22%.
@repkimschrier.bsky.social & I are leading 21 of our colleagues in demanding answers & ensuring our public lands remain safe and accessible.

Your grocery prices didn't go up on their own. Trump’s illegal tariffs increased costs across the supply chain — and working people paid the price.
Republicans created this problem and haven't offered a single solution.
This month and every month, I promise to keep up the fight and build on the legacy of the outstanding women who came before us. (3/3)
There’s Abigail Scott Duniway, a vocal advocate for women’s suffrage and the first woman to register to vote in Oregon; Mercedes Deiz, the first Black female lawyer and judge in Oregon; and Kathryn Harrison, who helped gain federal recognition for the Grand Ronde Tribe. (2/3)
In honor of Women’s History Month, I wanted to highlight some trailblazing Oregonian women. (1/3)

People who have followed the law, worked hard, and earned U.S. citizenship should not be denied it at the last minute.
The Trump Administration’s cruel and arbitrary barriers betray the principles of fairness and justice that Oregon stands for.
I’m proud to have secured $3,000,000 for Cherriots to help make it easier and safer for Oregonians to reliably get where they need to go.
I'll keep fighting for projects that make everyday life more affordable and manageable for working families across our district.
Happy National Agriculture Day! Thank you to the many Oregonians who work hard every day to put food on our tables and sustain our communities.
As a member of @houseagdems.bsky.social, I'm proud to support and empower our growers and producers across the Willamette Valley. 🌾
It was great to speak with over 50 city leaders from the League of Oregon Cities last week on Capitol Hill.
I appreciated the opportunity to discuss their priorities and to reaffirm our shared dedication to keeping Oregon’s cities flourishing!
The average price of gas in Oregon is $4.87. A year ago it was about $3.73.
President Trump’s war is only making life more costly for you.

BIG NEWS: $1 MILLION in funding is on its way to Washington County!
I’m proud to have secured this money for the Sheriff’s Office to improve public safety for our #OR06 communities.
