As a breast cancer survivor myself, her loss to this brutal disease is devastating. She leaves a deep legacy of compassion and accomplishment. May her memory be for a blessing.
A modern day Esther, Nita Lowey was a mentor and valiant fighter for the Jewish community, women and reproductive freedom. The first woman House Appropriations Committee chair, she was known globally for fighting for humanitarian aid and support for Israel.
We have infrastructure, health care, and other vital needs to keep improving Floridians’ lives.
Trump and Musk’s reckless cuts will bring all of it to a halt.
The Pastors Tudmans’ leadership embodies service, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to uplifting others.
I was honored to attend their investiture. May they embark on this new chapter with continued wisdom, compassion, and a deeply held values.
Appropriations are NOT “advice” – it’s law.
We’re elected to represent our constituents. Spineless Republicans are giving up that responsibility to an unelected billionaire instead.
.@democrats-appropriations.house.gov united to demand the Senate reject the partisan, harmful CR.
It only enables Trump, Musk & Republicans to unlawfully destroy agencies & programs all Americans count on.
Republicans are ready to give Musk and Trump a blank check or shut down the government.
The Senate must end this chaos and negotiate a real, bipartisan budget.
I joined @rephaleystevens.bsky.social in a meeting with families of hostages who are still held by Hamas.
These families deserve to see their loved ones again. We must do all we can to #BringThemAllHome
It's Pi Day! Sadly, Trump and Musk can only compute how to ➖ education dollars and ➗ our nation.
Let's support math and 🥧 and stop these outliers from holding students back by burning down @usedgov.bsky.social
@repraulgrijalva.bsky.social was a fighter, a guiding light for climate action and conservation, and fought tirelessly for immigration fairness. As a survivor, I know how hard the battle against cancer can be. Raúl fought it with grace and dignity.
May his memory be for a blessing.
Trump & Musk tried to punish federal employees to make room for billionaire tax breaks. We stood strong with federal workers to fight hard for this win.
When you go after federal workers, you hurt Americans who rely on government services. We won’t stand for it.

House Republicans continue to falsely claim their full-year continuing resolution does not cut nutrition.
They are ignoring the fact that their bill will result in 25,000 seniors being unable to access the Commodity Supplemental Food Program.

House Republicans know how to adequately fund the Toxic Exposures Fund.
They chose not to.

Republicans continue to falsely claim there is no cut to funding for Army Corps projects.
In reality, they are slashing these resources by 44%.

House Republicans claim their bill will have no impact on D.C. That is false.
If their full-year continuing resolution is signed into law, police officers, teachers, firefighters, and other first responders will be furloughed.

Instead of lowering the cost of living, House Republicans’ final funding bill could lead to the eviction of more than 32,000 families.

House Republicans' full-year continuing resolution means less funding for law enforcement, economic development, and transportation activities⤵️
Trump used a moving child cancer survivor as a political stunt at his speech, all while he cuts research for a cure.
As a cancer survivor, I know it takes more than a stunt to beat it. I just met with patients & GO2 for Lung Cancer to discuss the real work needed to support them.
House Democrats stand united for a four-week funding extension that stops harmful cuts, keeps government open, and allows Congress to reach a true bipartisan funding agreement. I am ready to vote today, tomorrow or Friday to pass a bipartisan extension.
