House Republicans need to be on the record. Trump’s illegal war of choice with Iran is jacking up prices, making the world less safe, and making Americans' lives more difficult. Joined @alivitali.bsky.social on MS NOW to discuss why Congress deferring to Donald Trump is a deadly decision.
Celebrated the Sojourner House’s 50th Anniversary of helping Rhode Islanders at the Sojo MoJoe Breakfast. Grateful to Vanessa Volz and her team’s vital work supporting survivors and preventing domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
For 3 months, Donald Trump has carried out an illegal war of choice with Iran with no plan and no endgame in sight. Rhode Islanders are paying the price. Joined Kayla Fish on @wpri12.bsky.social to discuss how Trump’s chaos is driving up gas & grocery prices for working families across our state.
Experienced hope in action while celebrating the Rhode Island Freedom Collective’s 1st Freedom Gala! Grateful for their continued work and the recognition of the effort in 2006 to restore voting rights for formerly incarcerated Rhode Islanders.
Bill Pulte has no expertise in national security or intelligence operations. His only qualification is loyalty to Donald Trump. Politicizing the work of the intelligence community weakens our national security. Pulte's appointment is dangerous and makes Americans less safe.
Wrapped up #SmallBusinessMonth celebrating Rhode Island’s Latina business leaders with the RI Hispanic Chamber. As small businesses are squeezed by skyrocketing prices and attacks on our immigrant communities, I’m fighting to lower costs, stop ICE’s cruelty & expand opportunity.
Rhode Islanders have always led the charge for independence and shown what civic courage looks like. Proud to help plant the Liberty Tree at Conanicut Battery Historic Park, honoring our history and the power rooted in community.
Bragging about kicking 4.5 million Americans off SNAP is immoral. SNAP provides the bare minimum to ensure Rhode Islanders don’t go hungry. If this administration actually wanted to help families, they’d lower costs, not take food away and make life more expensive.
Trump's corrupt slush fund is melting. Congress should finish the job. Not one taxpayer dollar should go to January 6 rioters, Trump, or Trump’s criminal cronies for their weaponization fraud.
Trump is retreating from plans for a $1.8 billion “Anti-Weaponization Fund” after a fierce backlash from fellow Republicans.
The RI Blood Center saves lives. With the start of summer, trauma visits to the ER are expected to rise, and so will the need for more blood. Thanked the team for their work coordinating donations, ensuring a steady supply of blood & keeping RI’ers healthy.
Celebrated the DaVinci Center’s continued progress serving Providence’s North End. Toured their renovated facility, met with dedicated staff, and saw firsthand how their programs create opportunity, build connection, and support Rhode Islanders of all ages.
Working families are paying more because Trump cut clean energy & dragged us into an illegal war of choice with Iran. I’m supporting @mikethompson.house.gov’s American Energy Independence and Affordability Act to restore clean energy tax credits & help RI'ers keep their hard-earned money.
🏳️‍🌈 Happy Pride Month, Rhode Island! 🏳️‍⚧️ This Pride, I’m standing side-by-side with our LGBTQIA+ neighbors as we celebrate their contributions to our state and keep fighting for equality, dignity, and freedom!
Toured the brand new Portsmouth Senior Center, which has over 50 units of affordable housing for seniors on site! I’m fighting to stop cuts to the housing and health care programs seniors rely on, so innovative facilities like this can continue to help seniors age with dignity.
Made new friends at the Roger Williams Zoo!🐾 It was great meeting busy red pandas and sleepy sloths, as well as seeing future pre-K classrooms & learning spaces. I’m proud to support our great zoo’s outreach and conservation efforts.
BIG shoutout to all the athletes at this weekend’s Special Olympics RI Summer Games! From bowling to powerlifting, swimming to track and field, and soccer too, I’m cheering on the 1,200 athletes and wishing them the best of luck!
Food waste warriors at Ella Risk Elementary in Central Falls have reduced waste from 150 pounds to 4 pounds this past year. Congratulations to students & staff for their hard work composting, sharing unwanted food with neighbors, and making our planet healthier!♻️🌎
It’s Reading Week at Myron J. Francis Elementary in East Providence! 📚 Stopped by to read “Star Stuff” with my new friends in Ms. Brun’s class. Grateful for Rhode Island teachers who make a difference every day and wishing Ms. Brun a wonderful retirement!
When seconds matter, officers need reliable communications equipment that works every time. I’m bringing home $500,000 in federal dollars to ensure the North Smithfield Police Department has the latest tools to coordinate quickly, respond effectively & keep the community safe.
