Oops, 213 House Republicans just voted AGAIN to pass their “Big Ugly Bill," which:
❌Reduces or eliminates Pell Grants for 4 million students.
❌Rips access to free school meals away from up to 18.3 million children.
❌Kicks 16 million people off their health insurance.
The actions by the Trump Administration are incompatible with federal law, have increased incidents of violence, and are risking civilian lives.
Los Angeles Police Chief Jim McDonnell has said the arrival of military forces "presents a significant logistical and operational challenge for those of us tasked with safeguarding this city."
The American people have a constitutional right to peacefully assemble, and I unequivocally condemn all violence and destruction of property. However, President Trump has inflamed the situation in California.
