Hamas is responsible for the death and devastation seen in Gaza today—whether through its brutal executions of Palestinian dissidents this week or the two years of war that Hamas needlessly began on October 7 and prolonged by refusing to release the hostages or disarm until now. 1/2

Frontline registered #nurses and health care professions at #KaiserPermanente began a 5-day strike today across California. (1/2)
But I also mourn and remember those who were killed by Hamas in captivity and are coming home in caskets, whose families were robbed of this reunion. 28 lives needlessly cut short by Hamas’s brutality. (2/2)

My thoughts are with the hostages and their family members this evening, as we pray for their safe return.
Among them, please God, is Rom Braslavski, whose family in the San Fernando Valley movingly described to me the unimaginable pain of the past two years. Healing cannot begin soon enough.
After a bit more than two years, it’s time for the hostages, all of them, to come home.
Today I met with #Armenia’s new Ambassador to the United States, Narek Mkrtchyan.
We discussed the refugees from #Artsakh and the need to stop all U.S. aid to Azerbaijan.
We also discussed the need for direct flights from Los Angeles to Yerevan and a U.S.-Armenia tax treaty.
